TPP | Fail Pacifica: TEP-NPO Treaty Ends

Topic: Gameplay & Politics
FRANCOGRAD | The New Pacific Order (NPO) has been dealt another crushing blow to its foreign affairs apparatus with the repeal of the Pacifican Horicultural Agreement by The East Pacific with a margin of 93%. This treaty was famously the NPO’s only treaty with another Game-Created Region that survived the 2018 scandal which shook the region’s foreign standing.
The NPO’s foreign affairs troubles throughout this year have been well-documented since their attempt to coup the Outback in February 2025. While only coming to light recently, this saga began around the same time when Delegate A Mean Old Man (AMOM) initiated a prosecution against JoWhatup / A Bloodred Moon due to evidence surfacing where LWU command discussed infiltrating the East during Jo’s Khanship. Given the NPO, and Senator Emeritus Xoriet specifically having a tendency over the last several years to politically intervene on LWU and Jo’s behalf, this soured the NPO’s view of TEP. This was expressed in the intelligence disclosures, where AMOM was a frequent subject of Pacifican vitriol.
Following the
joint Perditian, West Pacifican, and Outbacker intelligence release, East-NPO relations continued to deteriorate. The Post notes that
the East has released an official statement for those interested in reading.
Our reporters were able to obtain the message referenced by AMOM, reproduced below:
Let us know if you have any questions re:Quebec's thing. I will say privately that discussions had were based on what ended up being an erroneous reading of circumstances that we discarded when actions proved otherwise
l understand any distrust or anger from the East here, but we still consider TEP to be core allies whose relationship was specifically targeted here, based on what exactly was released versus other regional discussions.
We are willing to make any public or private apology requested by the East and its representatives in regards to anything said.
- — Emperor Syberis
The Post was unable to ascertain what “erroneous reading of circumstances” the NPO developed, and how they “discarded [it] when actions proved otherwise.” As referenced in the East’s dissolving statement, the offer for an apology was not accepted given the NPO’s history of publishing apologies throughout this year: such as
one regarding the Outback which was later debunked by an
October intelligence release.
Reporters reached out to Stevist Guam (GreatKitteh), a former Pacifican Senator now serving in the cabinet of Starlight. When asked about the relationship between the East and NPO in recent months, she stated:
The East Pacific has done everything it can to be loyal to the Pacific for years, but it’s suffice to say that this respect was becoming one-sided.
The NPO and its officials have yet to comment on this matter.
Given the comprehensiveness of the East’s statement, the Post has kept this article succinct. Readers are encouraged to consult the monarchy’s joint intelligence disclosure and the East’s official statement for details and relevant chat logs.
