Rp Rules

Management and Roleplay Officers

The roleplay is currently managed by the Roleplay Officers , Neo american states, Mundus novia, and Marblania. However, he answers to the region's Consulate.

      Respectful and Thoughtful RP

We expect all roleplay to be respectful of other nations and players. This means no overly offensive or aggressive RP toward other nations. Controversial topics are allowed in RP, but please ensure your roleplay is respectful and mindful of others. Disagreements are part of RP, but personal attacks or inappropriate content will not be tolerated.

      No “Lazy RP”

Avoid overly exaggerated actions, such as "I bomb this country." While big actions are welcome, they should be reasonable and not lack detail. Effort and thought should be put into the narrative, so that everyone can enjoy the RP.
Also when you post long stretches of text try to use the spoiler like this:
long stretches of text
Realism in RP

Realism is key. For example, smaller nations shouldn’t be able to easily defeat superpowers. We encourage players to balance their military, economy, and diplomacy with the capabilities of their nation.
Think about geography, military size, resources, and alliances when planning your nation’s actions.

      No Fighting OOC

OOC (Out-of-Character) conflicts and fighting will not be tolerated. We are here to roleplay and have fun together. Please keep OOC discussions civil.
If you have a disagreement, resolve it privately, not in the RP or regional spaces.

      RP Decency

Please avoid fascism in roleplay and the topic of genocide as these topics are deeply sensitive and may attract bad actors who believe in these horrible ideologies.

      RP with Embassies

As many of you know RP between multiple regions is common and many players like to do it. This is welcome and also encouraged, but there is a certain requirement that must be fulfilled.
Players from other regions are required to follow CoL RP rules. Then if you are interested in the map of the RP fill free to ask Marblania to add you as you can be in it just like any CoL resident.

      Time in RP

We also have our own time in the RP this will help you map out what kind of tech you have and others have with some exception. This will also help you have an idea of what life would be like in this years and what laws would you intact based on this. and finally this will help your write things with dates for your RP stuff. So here it is:

      Ongoing Rule Changes

Rp Guide

First Post Basics

    1. Nation Name: Start with the name of your country and where it’s located (e.g., island, coastal, mountainous).

    Example:

The Kingdom of Selenar – A coastal nation known for its powerful navy.

    2. Brief History: Give a short backstory. Don’t overwhelm with details—just enough to explain where your nation is today.

    Example:

Selenar was once part of a large empire but became independent after a civil war 100 years ago. The people are proud, and the kingdom is recovering its strength.

    3. Government: Who’s in charge? A king? A president? What’s the political situation like?

    Example:

The kingdom is ruled by King Alaric IV, but the Council of Nobles holds significant power. Recently, there’s been talk of reforms.

    4. Culture: What makes your nation unique? Traditions, religion, or festivals?

    Example:

Selenar is known for its grand Festival of the Waves, a celebration of the sea with music, dancing, and boat races.

Engage and Keep the RP Flowing

After your first post, continue engaging with others in the RP. Here’s how:

    1. Start Small: Don’t go for huge world-changing moves right away. Build relationships through trade, diplomacy, or small conflicts.

    Example:

Valoria seeks trade agreements with neighboring nations. Any offers?

    2. Leave Room for Interaction: Mention nearby countries, alliances, or challenges to make it easy for others to respond.

    Example:

Tensions rise between Selenar and the coastal city-state of Virelia over fishing rights.

    3. Respond Quickly: Keep the conversation going! If someone responds to your nation, react to their actions or diplomacy.

Keep It Respectful

    1. Be Thoughtful: Respect the RP rules and other players. Avoid actions that are too exaggerated or offensive.

    Example:

“Selenar has sent a diplomatic envoy to Valoria to discuss trade.” Keep things realistic and respectful.

    2. Avoid OOC Drama: Keep out-of-character fights out of the RP.

Example of a First Post:

    The Kingdom of Selenar
A coastal nation known for its powerful navy.

    History
Selenar was once part of a large empire but became independent after a civil war 100 years ago. The people are proud, and the kingdom is recovering its strength.

    Government
The kingdom is ruled by King Alaric IV, but the Council of Nobles holds significant power. Recently, there’s been talk of reforms.

    Culture
Selenar is known for its grand Festival of the Waves, a celebration of the sea with music, dancing, and boat races.

    Current Situation
Selenar seeks trade agreements with neighboring nations. Tensions rise between Selenar and the coastal city-state of Virelia over fishing rights.

Summary Tips:

    1. Keep your first post clear and to the point.
    2. Introduce your nation’s basics—name, history, government, and culture.
    3. Engage others early with diplomacy, trade, or challenges.
    4. Keep it respectful and avoid OOC drama.
