The Indian Empirosis Legion 2nd Declaration (In the Event of War)
Declaration of the Empirosis LegionTo the People of the Realm and the World,
Let it be known that the Empirosis Legion stands as the eternal shield of our sacred lands, our people, and our civilization. Our purpose is not to seek conflict, but to ensure the perpetual peace, prosperity, and sovereignty of our nation. We are a force forged in the crucible of history, bound by the lessons of our past, and dedicated to safeguarding our future. We declare this solemn creed on the conditions for war, so that all may understand our resolve and the principles that guide our actions.
On the Genesis of War:
The path to war is a somber one, fraught with peril and suffering. We believe that conflict is the last resort, a final, necessary response to an existential threat. A just war, in the eyes of the Empirosis Legion, is not born of ambition, conquest, or a desire for territorial expansion. It is born of a clear, undeniable, and direct threat to the very existence of our nation and the fundamental rights of our people.
War is to be considered only under the following grave circumstances:
* Direct and Unprovoked Aggression: Should any foreign power, state, or non-state actor launch a direct military assault upon the sovereign territory of our nation, its citizens, or its allies, the Legion shall rise to defend with swift and overwhelming force. An act of aggression against our land is an act of aggression against our very soul, and we will not cede an inch of our sacred soil.
* Genocidal or Humanitarian Crisis: If a neighboring or regional power engages in systematic genocide, ethnic cleansing, or other acts of mass violence that spill over our borders and threaten the stability and security of our people, the Legion is duty-bound to intervene. Our conscience demands that we do not stand idly by while our people are persecuted, especially when their plight endangers the peace of our region.
* Threat to Strategic National Interests: The Legion will mobilize when our vital national interests, such as our economic lifelines, critical infrastructure, and strategic partnerships, are deliberately and maliciously targeted by hostile forces. The disruption of these interests would cripple our nation and threaten the well-being of our populace. We shall act to protect our economic and political independence with all the resources at our disposal.
* Breach of Treaty and International Law: If a state or entity brazenly violates international treaties, conventions, or agreements to which our nation is a signatory, and such a violation poses a direct and tangible threat to our security, the Legion shall reserve the right to respond. Our commitment to a rules-based international order is resolute, and we shall not permit it to be subverted to our detriment.
On the Justification for War:
Before any call to arms, the Legion shall adhere to a strict process of deliberation and justification. The decision to go to war shall never be taken lightly or in haste.
* Diplomatic Exhaustion: All diplomatic avenues must be fully exhausted. Every effort to de-escalate tensions, negotiate a peaceful resolution, and engage in dialogue must be undertaken. War is a failure of diplomacy, and we must demonstrate to the world that we have pursued every possible peaceful alternative.
* Clear and Present Danger: The threat must be clear, imminent, and verifiable. Our actions shall be based on irrefutable intelligence and a thorough assessment of the situation. We shall not be swayed by rumors, conjecture, or political posturing. The lives of our soldiers and the future of our nation are too precious to be wagered on anything less than certainty.
* Proportionality and Restraint: Our response, should war be necessary, shall always be proportional to the threat. We shall seek to neutralize the enemy’s capacity for aggression with minimal collateral damage and maximum efficiency. We will adhere to the laws of war and will not engage in acts of wanton cruelty or vengeance. Our honor and our humanity are paramount, even in the midst of battle.
On the Conduct of War:
Should the drums of war beat, the Empirosis Legion shall fight with unyielding resolve and strategic brilliance, guided by principles that have sustained our civilization for millennia.
* Unity of Command: The Legion will act with a unified command structure, ensuring that all military branches and strategic assets are coordinated in a single, cohesive effort. Internal division is a weakness we cannot afford in times of conflict.
* Protection of Civilians: We shall make every effort to protect civilian populations, both our own and those of our adversaries. The battlefield is for soldiers, and we shall not target non-combatants. The strength of our civilization lies in its compassion, and we will not sacrifice that on the altar of war.
* Swift and Decisive Action: Our objective in war is not a protracted, endless conflict, but a swift and decisive victory that restores peace and stability. We will use our full military might to achieve our goals and bring the conflict to a rapid conclusion, allowing us to return our focus to nation-building and prosperity.
* Just Peace: The ultimate goal of any military action is not to destroy, but to create the conditions for a just and lasting peace. At the conclusion of hostilities, we shall seek to establish a new order that is more secure, stable, and equitable, ensuring that the grievances that led to the conflict are addressed and a foundation for future cooperation is laid.
The Empirosis Legion is not an instrument of aggression, but a shield of righteousness. We pray that this declaration never needs to be enacted, and that the peace of our nation and the world may endure forever. But let it be known that should the shadows of war gather, we are ready, we are united, and we are undefeatable.
