How to obtain Thaecian Citizenship
Citizenship is required in order to vote or stand in elections in Thaecia. This is to ensure our elections are free and fair. Without a citizenship requirement to vote, any resident could bring multiple puppet nations to Thaecia and use them to rig elections. Citizenship also gives you a bunch of other rights in Thaecia, such as the right to join a political party, and it also gives you the power to join the Thaecian army to liberate and invade regions. Citizenship goes a long way to making Thaecia bigger, stronger, and safer.
How can I obtain citizenship?
Join the World Assembly
If you're already in the World Assembly then congrats, you're a Thaecian citizen! Any Thaecian resident who is also a member of the World Assembly is granted citizenship automatically.
If you're not already in the World Assembly, you can apply to join by clicking this link and then clicking the 'Apply to Join' button near the top of the page. The World Assembly will send you an email to confirm that you want to join. The email will be sent to the nation that you signed up to NationStates with- if you did not sign up with an email, you will need to add one in your Settings tab. If you have not received an email, check your spam/junk folder, and check that your email was typed correctly. Once you have the email, click the link provided in it which will take you back to NationStates- all you have to do after that is click Confirm.Need any more help joining the World Assembly? Read factbook How to join the World AssemblyStep 1. First of all, you must ensure you have an email attached to your account. You can find this out by going to settings ( page=settings ) and scrolling down the section that displays your email, as displayed below:
Step 2. Now you have an email address attached to your account, you can join the World Assembly! Go to this page: page=un, or click the "World Assembly" tab, as shown below:
Step 3. Welcome to the Home of the World Assembly! Here you can vote on resolutions, but first you need to join! Click the "Apply to Join" Button:
It should take you to a page that looks like this:
Step 4. Go to your email, and inside you should have an email from NationStates, inviting you to the WA:
(Gmail Example:)Click the link in the email to join the World Assembly!
Now just click the "Confirm" button and boom, welcome to the World Assembly!
Step 5. Time to endorse! Click on this: Rayekka to go to their nation page. Then scroll to the bottom of the nation page and click the "endorse" button.

If you have a different nation outside of Thaecia that is already in the World Assembly, you can apply for a waiver by sending a telegram from that nation to Prime Minister
Islonia or Domestic Affairs Minister 
Santa Marana and request to be granted citizenship status in Thaecia. Just make sure to mention the name of your Thaecian nation in your telegram. You can't just send a telegram from your Thaecian nation, you must send one from your WA nation in another region. Afterwards, you will be a citizen of Thaecia!Join the Thaecian army
You can avoid applying for citizenship by getting a waiver if you join the Thaecian armed forces. Your Thaecian citizenship will be automatically protected even if your Thaecian nation resigns from the World Assembly. Joining the army is a great way to learn about other regions in NationStates through invasions and liberations as well as learn some of the mechanics that tie Thaecia and other regions in the game together.
