Role Playing in the Delta Episode

Introduction to Enkon Delta Roleplay
The Enkon Delta is a vibrant roleplay (RP) setting in the Enkon system, where nations shape a dynamic world with a rich history spanning millennia. From former Gresk Empire colonies to starfaring settlers, players craft unique stories guided by community standards for a collaborative experience.
1. Nation Origins and Timeline
Nations may be native to Enkon Delta, with three origin options:
Former Gresk Empire Colonies: Descendants of settlements conquered or influenced by the Gresk Empire (1–283 AI).
Non-Gresk Nations: Independent societies, such as Moarish tribes, that resisted or avoided Gresk control.
Settlers from the Stars: Recent arrivals (up to 100 years ago) drawn by the NEXUS beacon or other means.
Nation histories must align with the
Enkon Timeline (from -500,000 AI Doec gates to 500 AI present day). For example, a Gresk colony might trace roots to 130 AI, while settlers arrived post-400 AI.
2. Technology and Setting
Technology ranges from Modern Tech (MT) to limited Future Tech (FT). If it’s plausible in movies, books, or TV, it’s generally allowed (credit to Athretvari).
Acceptable FT includes advanced robotics or small spacecraft, but must remain balanced. Community flags godmodding (e.g., invincible fleets) for revision.
The setting includes Enkon Delta’s surface and Near Orbit Enkon, with relics like the Doec NEXUS station shaping the narrative.
3. Roleplay Requirements
New players must submit two high-effort RPs within one week to join and claim a map spot:
Introduction RP: Present your nation’s culture, government, or a key event establishing its role in Enkon Delta.
Event RP: Detail a specific occurrence, like an election, festival, or conflict, showcasing your nation’s dynamics.
Posts must be detailed and engaging. Low-effort posts (e.g., one-liners) may be flagged for revision.
Submit RPs on the Regional Message Board or
forum thread.
4. Non-Human Roleplaying
Non-human species are allowed with caveats:
Species cannot be intrinsically superior without drawbacks (e.g., strong but less intelligent).
No existing sci-fi/fantasy races (e.g., no Vulcans; unique elves may be okay).
Species must not break immersion (e.g., no transcendent light motes). Overly ridiculous concepts may require revision.
Non-human traits should complement, not dominate, your nation’s story. Focus on broader culture and narrative.
Consider if a human population achieves the same vibe. If non-human fits your vision, it’s permitted with community approval.
5. RP Consequences
Actions in RP have impact. If you create a situation (e.g., a resource dispute), expect others to respond by exploiting, resolving, or escalating it.
Engage with consequences to deepen the regional narrative, but respect community standards.
6. RP Circles of Control
Players control their nation and leadership. Others may not make decisions for your nation or leaders without consent.
With permission, players can RP as minor characters in your nation (e.g., a diplomat). Low-level roles (e.g., a news correspondent) can generally be RPed without consent.
Harmful actions (e.g., assassinations, major attacks) require express permission from the affected player. Unapproved actions will be flagged for revision.
7. Community Standards
Enkon Delta is collaborative. Respect others’ contributions and engage in good faith.
The community moderates via the Regional Message Board or
Discord. Disruptive or unbalanced posts require revision.Additional rules may be added as the RP evolves, announced via the Message Board or Discord.
8. Roleplay Freedom
A note about Settlers from the Stars: If your settlers come from a greater empire somewhere out there in the vastness of space, that's fine, but your nation at this point has no communication with and can receive no support from your homeland.
Beyond map/orbit claims and these rules, players have creative freedom to shape their nation’s story.
Engage others through diplomacy, trade, or conflict to enrich the Enkon narrative.
