3 Years of Discornesia

3 YEARS OF DISCORNESIA

3 years is a long time. 36 months. 157 weeks. This is just such a long time that we are forced to say "Woah...". The creation of a separate group within IIP has led to connections that may not have formed otherwise. Maybe our friends online would be different had this not existed.
In all our lives too, there must have been considerable changes in this past time but we have stayed close here, maybe revisiting sometimes. And the region still stands, full of memories.
The time when we had just started and waited so badly for new issues, ready to compare our nation stats. And then the time when the time between issues was set to be 6 hours and we weren't happy with it! And then the time our nations fully got their ideologies and formed the first alliances. Then the second alliances. A person union came somewhere here. That economic efficiency race, the defence forces race. The roleplay that eventually came along. And then gradual decline, the region becoming a frontier, having close to 150 nations at peak, and being invaded, liberated, again isolated- and here we are now.

Though I like to remember the times of "peak Discornesia", I do not yearn for them to return. We should not restart just for the sake of reliving that time. Now it exists, maybe not active and bustling, but as a souvenir we can cherish. If ever we restart, it must be naturally - not compelled by our nostalgia.

It is not a big thing, it is a game. But when we think like what would we be doing in those days if we did not start playing this game? No, no, we would have been fine and would've enjoyed anyways- but our connections and activities would be different. Thank you all for being a part of this.

Happy Discornesia Day
