RIP | Overview & Information

Radiant Inquisition of Perdition

The Basics

The Radiant Inquisition of Perdition (RIP) was established by the Edict on the Inquisition. The RIP is the official military of the Plains of Perdition, serving the interests of our region by ensuring its security, protecting our allies, and prosecuting cases of heresy abroad.

NationStates has two daily updates, twelve hours apart, starting at 12AM and 12PM EST. During these updates, regions update, including counting the endorsements each resident the nation has. During these updates the WA Delegate position is given to the nation with the most endorsements. Military Gameplay is about utilizing this mechanic and changing who is in the seat of the WA Delegacy. The WA Delegate in many regions has immense power, and in the absence of a Governor has executive authority by default, allowing them near full control of the entire region. This is the premise of military gameplay.

Rank Structure

The commander-in-chief of the Radiant Inquisition is the Primarch, Rhaza. Further, as the head of government, Chancellor Heavens Reach has substantial oversight over the military. However, the military itself is run by a group of officers, listed below:

Officer Rank

Nation

Strategos (General)

New Opolopia

Seraph (Senior Officer)

Nolrem, Wolflandil

Archangel (Junior Officer)

Doge Republics, 2sara

When members join the Radiant Inquisition they are inducted as an Apprentice. Upon completion of an operation they are inducted as a full Inquisitor. Once an Inquisitor, members can also be promoted to Pentarche and then Kentarche on merit - displayed through regular contributions, being a role-model to other members, and overall reliability.

Standing Orders

Our standing orders are what all Inquisitors should be following when not on an active operation. Standing orders are as follows,

Conduct

  • Members are expected to maintain good standing overall. Members represent the region and therefore should be mindful of how their actions reflect upon Perdition.

  • Members must fly an approved flag on military operations.

  • Mercenary work is allowed for members, though mercenary activity, including when it is done and who it is done with must be approved by an officer. During mercenary work, you may not fly an RIP flag or hold yourself out as representing the RIP. You may not violate military policies or act against Perdition's allies as a mercenary.

  • Officers are restricted to a single-organization policy. Those seeking to serve as enlisted members while being in another organization must obtain the consent of the Strategos.

Official Flags

The above flags are official RIP ensigns. Individuals may fly approved flags on their nations which must bear the emblem of the Radiant Inquisition, but may otherwise by customized. If in doubt, consult an officer on a flag's acceptability.

Our equivalent of medals or ribbons, seals are how members can display their participation in a notable operation. Please do not display a seal you have not earned.
