The Distant Shores
Regional Rules
General Conduct
1. Treat others how you want to be treated.
2. Be friendly, welcome, and supportive towards all within the region.
3. Follow all of the NS website rules.
4. Do not spam nor recruit for other regions within the RMB.
Map Rules
1. Have a generally realistic and believable name.
2. In order to stay on the map one must be active on NS, ex. do not apply and immediately go inactive. Nations may lose their map spot if they CTE.
3. Do not have multiple nations on the map. If one person wants to have multiple nations, discuss the idea for approval first.
4. Fill out the application here and send it to
Eskellur.
Roleplay Rules and Limitations
1. Do not RP or nationbuild for another person, and always ask their permission if you wish to do something involving their nation, including conflicts. The owner of a nation always has total control of what happens within their borders (to the limit of following the rules).
2. Do not powerplay. The goal of this region is to make interesting nationbuilding and compelling RP that forms a good narrative, and not simply to be as powerful as possible. A small, well-written nation will always be more interesting and compelling than a large superpower with no content.
3. The usage of artificial intelligence for writing is forbidden, especially in regards to factbooks and RP posts. Members may still use AI for image generation, though it is discouraged in leau of using actual art.
4. Keep your nationbuilding to fit the times and tech level. TDS roughly takes place during a technological era in between 1500 and 1800, however nations can be slightly ahead or behind these years depending on their development and creative uses of magic.
5. Population limit is 35 million, however some may go over with explicit permission and a good reason.
6. While there (will soon be) a species index with a list of all of the sentient creatures that one may be in the region, users can still create their own species (or variants of existing ones) and submit them to the index. Do not make these species too powerful, and every strong point must also have a roughly equivalent weakness.
These rules will be enforced though warnings, suppression, and potentially kicking or banning. However if there is any confusion in regards to these rules, please do not hesitate to telegram
Eskellur or ask on the RMB!
