Constitution of Grand Avalon
Article 1: Definition of Grand Avalon
1.1. Grand Avalon is a kingdom, governed by king.
1.2. Grand Avalon is an independent, sovereign region.
1.3. Grand Avalon and it's authorities exist for the sake of their people.
Article 2: Definition of Constitution
2.1. Constitution is the document declaring basic rules and principles of Grand Avalon
2.2. Constitution may be subject to revision or replacement per decision of future legislative authorities of Grand Avalon.
Article 3: Definition of Citizenship
3.1. Citizen of Grand Avalon is the person who's rules and freedoms are protected by this constitution.
3.2. Citizenship may be aquired on request after 7 days of residing in the Kingdom.
3.3. Citizenship may be granted by the King, Prime Minister or Minister of Internal Affairs.
3.4. Government officials can vouch for a person in order for them to gain citizenship faster. If vouching official is either King, Prime Minister or Minister of Internal Affairs, the request needs to be approved by another government member out of abovestated 3.
3.5 Citizenship may be revoked for extencive violation of Kingdom's laws.
Article 4: Definition of Nobility
4.1. Nobility are citizens who were given specific title in recognition for their contributions to kingdom and it's community.
4.2. Noble titles are, from top to bottom: King - Prince - Archduke - Duke - Count - Baron.
4.3. Noble titles may be styled in any alalogous variant from any culture.
4.4. Noble titles are granted by King personally.
4.5. Noble titles may be revoked if noble in question isn't living up to expectations.
Article 5: Definition of King
5.1. King is a sovereign monarch of Grand Avalon, and a head of state.
5.2. King's duty is to strife for what's best to his people.
5.3. King must oversee the workings of all the government functions, as well as make sure that citizens are satisfied with current functions of government.
5.4. King acts as The Round Table's Speaker of the Parliament.
5.4. King must either fill in temporarely abcent government members himself or appoint a replacement in their place.
5.5. King must appoint a regent who'll fill in for him in case of King's abscense.
5.6. In case of King's abdication The Round Table must elect a new King from the ranks of Princes and Archdukes
Arcticle 6: Definition of The Round Table
6.1. The Round Table is the upper parliamentary body consisting of region's Nobility.
6.2. The Round Table's participants gain the title of Knight.
6.3. Knighthood is given by the approval from both King and Prime Minister.
6.4. Knighthood lasts indefinitely until willing resignation.
6.5. Knighthood may be taken away with the approval of King, Prime Minister and majority of The Round Table.
6.6. Exact number of active Knights may vary, but cannot exceed 7.
6.7. Knights who held knighthood for over 6 months are granted the title of Paladin.
6.8. Titles gained while participating in The Round Table remain even after leaving it and can only be revoked by King's own decree.
Arcticle 7: Definition of Prime Minister
7.1. Prime Minister is the head of government of Grand Avalon, overseeing day-to-day functions of the government and reporting directly to the King.
7.2. Prime Ministerhood is granted through an all-regional vote, and must be approved by King, The Round Table and The Royal Duma.
7.3. Prime Minister must relagate tasks between other government officials, unless that was already done by King.
7.4. Prime Minister may relagate a task to King if no one else is available for it.
7.5. Prime Minister serves as The Royal Duma's speaker of the parliament.
Arcticle 8: Definition of Ministers
8.1. Ministers are officials of Government of Grand Avalon overseeing their specific sector of kingdom's government.
8.2. Ministers must be selected by either King, Prime Minister or The Royal Duma and must be approved by all 3.
8.3. Minister of Culture is the Minister overseeing kingdom's role-play, religious and other cultural activities.
8.4. Minister of Internal Affairs is the Minister overseeing the order and safety of the kingdom.
8.5. Minister of Foreign Affairs is the Minister overseeing kingdom's diplomatic efforts.
8.6. Minister of Justice is the Minister overseeing kingdom's judicial branch.
Arcticle 9: Definition of The Royal Duma
9.1. The Royal Duma is the lower parliamentary body consisting of elected citizens.
9.2. The Royal Duma's participants gain the title of Scribe.
9.3. Scribes are elected through general election by kingdom's citizens.
9.4. Each Scribe must be approved by King and Prime Minister.
9.5. Scribes's term lasts for 3 months.
9.6. Scribes don't have term limits.
9.7. Scribehood may be taken away with approval of King, Prime Minister and 75% of The Royal Duma.
9.8. Scribes who were elected for 3rd term gain the title of Proctor.
9.9. Titles gained for participation in The Royal Duma remain even after the term's end.
Arcticle 10: Declaration of basic Avalonian rights
10.1. Each Avalonian holds a right of dignity, which ensures lack of suffering from any sort of intolerance, be it ethnic, cultural, religious, gender, sexual or any other.
10.2. Each Avalonian holds a right of free speech, allowing the free voicing of thoughts and different political opinions, sole exception being the ideologies fitting under the broad term "fascism".
10.3. Each Avalonian holds a right to hold positions in the government, ensuring the ability of everyone to participate in running the kingdom.
Arcticle 11: Declaration of basic Avalonian duties
11.1. Each Avalonian must strive to be the best the kingdom has.
11.2. Each Avalonian must treat their compatriots with respect.
11.3. Each Avalonian must follow the regional laws.
