The Treaty of Friendship and Defence

The Treaty of Friendship and Defence: An alliance between Carcassonne and Council of Asia

Introduction

The treaty between the two parties of Carcassonne and Council of Asia is one of huge significance. It aims to protect the sovereignty of both regions, while increasing diplomatic engagement. This treaty is split into five articles. Any editing of the treaty needs to be overseen by both parties. Ending the treaty also requires the agreement of both parties. This treaty was signed on [date] by The united provinces of east asia, The Empire of West Nichibotsu, The Always Watchful of Reside, Ysengrim, and The Grey Critter Nation of Procyonid Republic.

Article 1: Recognition of Sovereignty

a. Carcassonne recognises Council of Asia as an independent region, and the Council of Asia government as legitimate. Council of Asia recognises Carcassonne as an independent region, and the Carcassonne government as legitimate.

b. Pursuant to 1a: Carcassonne must not attempt to overthrow the government of Council of Asia and seize control of Council of Asia. Council of Asia must not attempt to overthrow the government of Carcassonne and seize control of Carcassonne.

Article 2: Military Exercises:

a. Carcassonne must station all Carcassonne inactive military personnel in Council of Asia and endorse the WA Delegate of Council of Asia.

b. Persuant to 2a: Should Carcassonne WA Delegate fall below fifty endorsements, all Carcassonne inactive military personnel should be stationed back in Carcassonne and endorse the WA Delegate of Carcassonne.

c. Council of Asia must not militarily oppose any military operations that Carcassonne performs. Carcassonne must not militarily oppose any military operations that Council of Asia performs. Should one party oppose the other party´s military operations, the other party can take military action.

d. In the event that Carcassonne is raided, Council of Asia must cease all military operations and go liberate Carcassonne. In the event that Council of Asia is raided, Carcassonne must cease all military operations and go liberate Council of Asia.

Article 3: Diplomatic Ties

a. Council of Asia citizens and Carcassonne citizens are allowed to enter each others Discord servers and regional forums. The citizens have to declare which region they are from.

b. Council of Asia citizens and Carcassonne citizens are allowed to post in each others RMB. The citizens are also allowed to take part in the regions roleplay.

c. Council of Asia should have one ambassador positioned in Carcassonne that has a government position in Carcassonne to ensure that the Treaty of Friendship and Defence is being carried out. Carcassonne should have one ambassador positioned in Council of Asia that has a government position in Council of Asia to ensure that the Treaty of Friendship and Defence is being carried out.

Article 4: World Assembly Affairs

a. The ambassadors stated in 3c can advise the region they are stationed in on what their home region has voted for.

b. The two parties do not have to agree on what to vote in the World Assembly.

Article 5: Treaty Procedures:

a. Council of Asia and Carcassonne have to pin this treaty to their World Factbook Entry to show their agreement to the treaty.

b. Both parties are not allowed to end the treaty until the end of the year of 2024.

c. Pursuant to 5b: Once the year of 2024 ends, both parties can decide on whether to edit the treaty, whether to end the treaty, or whether to let it continue throughout the following year.

d. Both parties have to sign at the bottom of the treaty to show their agreement to the treaty.
