Environmental Protection Order 17

Title - Protection of our Lands from the Unintended Consequences of Industry - 17th Reading
1866

Overview
Over several decades Kushmire has turned from an agri-economy into an industrial machine. An unintended consequence of this is the impact on;

1. Farmers and their lands

2. The environment

3. The rest of the citizens

Farmers have seen their lands become infertile due to uncontrolled waste disposal into their territories and rivers, and the people have seen their skies turned into an impossible mix of noxious gases and the environment itself, the flora and fauna around our largest factories have dwindled to almost nothing.

I am sure that it is no secret that Kushmire is home to many flora and fauna found nowhere else in the Empire, losing these would mean a loss to our national identity, and the empire as a whole. Gentlemen this bill has been read through parliament 16 other times, and now with the backing of all High Courts, bar the Barraq Reigon, and the Supreme Court I implore that those undecided vote to protect not only our environment but our citizens and our future.

Changes to Law

A border is to be set that sets the maximum expansion of industrial interests. A new protection policy to ensure the safety of the territory from the greed of foreign companies will be enacted giving the government the power to seize assets (with force) and detain high-ranking employees (with force) and related contractees.
