Regulation of Biotechnology and Nanotechnology

1. Abiayala considers Biotechnology and Nanotechnology essential parts of scientific advancement for the nation, and invests into further development of it's activities.
2. As both technologies are considered complex, with great potential, Abiayala concluded that research, applications and theoric dilemmas should be discussed and regulated for the protection and wellbeing of the Abiayalans.
3. Biotechnology and Nanotechnology should not be used to significant degree of alteration of the human body, preserving the humanity of the Abiayalan people and not furthering divides between segregated clades. As it should not be used to provide suffering to any complex organism by providing provolution to once non-sentient species or hindering the human mind.
4. Nanobots have to be limited, hereby imposing a restriction to the replication of the Nanotechnology, precluding catastrophical and unforeseen effects in nature.
5. Biotechnology will be used to the preservation of nature and restoration of species, including prehistorical (in limited spaces)
6. This shall be the classification of bio-nanotechnologies:
(a)Biological restoration
(b)Genetic engineering
(c)Lazurogenesis
(d)Medibot system
7. Hereby, it is regulated the following activities for each class:
(a)For the restoration of limbs, organs and tissue
(b)For the artificial removal of undesired genetical disabilities or diseases. Artificial selection of phenotypical characteristics are highly controversial and not regulated, considered unnatural.
(c)For the de-extinction of species affected by climate change, strengthening of existing species and limited restoration of pre-historic species.
(d)For the maintenance of the human body, by treating non-genetical diseases and other medical conditions.
