The Origin of the Medals

The origin of the One and the Two is unknown, but it is clear that they are the oldest.

The ancient Chinese heard of the power of the One and the Two and wanted something to fight them if necessary. All the many kingdoms of ancient China got together and discussed the creation of Medals each with half the strength of the One. They sent their finest craftsmen to what is now Shanghai to forge Ten Medals. Half were good, half were evil. Unfortunately, the craftsmen made a mistake during creation. All the Medals came from the same block of bronze which they gave power to in an amount equal to half of the One. All the bronze was used in the forging of the Medals, and since .5/10=.05, each of the Ten only contained one twentieth the strength of the One.

The Four were made by the Apostles in the early days of the Church. The Four were not made as weapons, but are givers of certain traits and abilities to the bearer and those around them. One was given to Peter, one to Thomas (yes, that is Doubting Thomas. That Medal strengthens faith which he needed more of.), and one to Paul. The last was made to strengthen loyalty in memory of Judas Iscariot the Betrayer. It was given to Matthew when he recorded the first Gospel.
