[size=130][font=Sans]As some of you know a few weeks ago the founder of the Augustin Alliance, August, allowed their main nation to cease to exist. Then on November 16th, 2022 the Lands End founder nation, Mercantana, ceased to exist as many had guessed was coming. This does not come as a surprise to senior officials in the region, the inactivity of the founder made a CTE less of a possibility and more of an inevitability. After being asked about the absence of the founder, senior officials went on record saying that they have no worries for the future of the region or the alliance as a whole. While August being gone indefinitely does carry a few blows to regional operations there are plenty of very qualified personnel who remain at the helm and the region remains in excellent hands. It may be sad to see our leader go and some of you may be disheartened by this, but it is now time for the region's residents to show the world what we are capable of. While our founder may be gone it does not mean that we cannot still make them proud![/font][/size]

Since the release, everyone is now scrambling to grab as many season 3 cards as they can, as fast as they can. Bid prices are at an all-time high due to the low supply of the new cards and the very high demand. [size=130][font=Sans]The November quarterly board election took place at the beginning of the month, if you didn't notice then don't worry because you didn't miss much, the only people who ran ended up winning. Does this mean that the region truly believes that the current board is some kind of dream team? If so, the February election might shake things up a little. Shortly after the dull November election concluded, [nation=noflag]Kathricore[/nation] announced in the [url=https://discord.gg/rNY5vcJ]Discord[/url] server that they would be running for the CCO position in February following unconfirmed reports that the CCO [nation=noflag]The Federation of Spokane[/nation] would take the place of COO [nation=noflag]The Tribia[/nation] after they stepped down from the position in February. Long-time resident [nation=noflag]Dolplandia[/nation] also threw their hat in the ring. This political maneuvering quickly came to a halt when The Tribia announced, "I do plan on running yet again for COO in February and the rest of all the elections next year," despite earlier claims they would not seek reelection. After the announcement, Spokane went on record claiming they are happy to run as the incumbent for their current board position next election. While Dolp rescinded their election candidacy after The Tribia's announcement, Kathricore revealed to me in an exclusive interview that they will still run in the next election. This all begs the question of whether this region will see an action-packed election next quarter or just another landslide?

The subject of the condemnation was a known raider who was the textbook definition of a condemnable nation. The main argument for a repeal of the condemn was that the subject of it viewed it as a badge of honor rather than a punishment. While the argument was weak in the opinion of many nations, Repeal "Condemn Ever-Wandering Souls" was passed 11,820 votes to 6,660. This was ultimately due to the resolution being pushed through by the largest voting block on the site. This sets a dangerous precedent that even though nations may commit acts deserving of condemnation, they may not get one simply because they decided to view it as a badge of honor.

[*][size=130][font=Sans]Recently in the General Assembly, [url=https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=524290]Protection of Sexual Assault Victims[/url] attempted to cover a relatively hot topic on the world stage. In the forums, the proposal met some slight resistance in reference to some nations interpreting the proposal in a way where they thought it could potentially protect false allegations. There was also a significant amount of nations speaking in defense of the proposal, refuting claims made about protection for false allegations. Protection of Sexual Assault Victims was passed at an astounding 15,116 votes to 1,761.[/font][/size]
 
[*][size=130][font=Sans]Focusing our attention back to the Security Council, the [url=https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=521913]Historical Region Act[/url] was another significant proposal that was brought to the world's attention. The proposal mainly focused on the protection of historical regions in the world. The main arguments against this proposal was whether or not these regions needed to be preserved or if they even deserve to be preserved. As well as the argument against special treatment was the point made by many that some regions were mentioned by name in the resolution as being historical while there were others that many classify as historical that weren't recognized. Despite these arguments, the Historical Region Act was passed by 12,584 votes to 3,996.[/font][/size][/list]

[size=130][font=sans]Following a disastrous attack against Imperial Front Lines by the Biggonian Commonwealth at the end of October, the Biggonian Empire launched a counteroffensive with the intention of dislodging the Commonwealth from their newly erected positions, which they gained after conquering vast swathes of territory in previous months. However, due to a lack of planning and not taking the rainy season into account, the Imperial offensive ground to a halt, which ultimately caused a huge loss of life on both sides. For over 3 weeks the offensive raged, until on the 19th of November all attacks were finally called to a stop. Despite minimal gained ground, the damage they inflicted meant that a major assault is not expected from either side for some time. As both armies now settle into this new stalemate, the people of Biggonia are suffering the most. It is believed that unless action is taken fast, famine will engulf Biggonia over the course of the winter due to a loss of fertile agricultural land to the conflict.[/font][/size]

[size=130][font=sans]Following the fighting throughout Athenia & Ptolemia during the past month, Emperor Anton of Tussia decided to enter talks with the Tussian Republican Army leadership on the 25th of October. Many observers feared he might abdicate as a result of this, however, the TRA presented their planned constitution to the Emperor within his palace. After holding a referendum, it was revealed that 74.8% of Tussian votes supported reform to the system, and of those 74.8%, 95% wished to accept the current constitution which would establish 'The Three Republics of Tussia'. When the news came out, the majority of TRA fighters within Athenia & Ptolemia stood down, although the radical communist groups fighting under the leadership of David Manz (now renamed to the People's Liberation Army) would continue to fight on as their leader fled into exile to avoid persecution.[/font][/size]

[size=130][font=sans]Despite its name, the Three Republics would retain the Tussian Monarchy within their constitution. Rather, the country would be made up of three constituent parts to symbolize the three main ethnic groups within Tussia- the Tussians, Hellens, and finally Osraelians. A lower house known as the Plebeian council would be assembled via election, along with an upper house known as the Patrician council. Freedom of the press and internet started to open up, which many Tussians reveled in. Elections began on the 22nd of November.[/font][/size]
[*][size=135][font=Sans][b]Terra Argo-Pantsivillean crisis:[/b][/font][/size]
[size=130][font=Sans]On the 22nd November, a ship from [nation=noflag]Pantsville[/nation] in the town of Orízontas, [nation=noflag]Terra Argo[/nation], was captured. Currently, not much information is known about the incident, other than gunfire was reported by observers as the ship was seized. The Terra Argoan government released an official statement, claiming that the Pantsvillean government has chosen to attack their own people, whilst the Pantsvillean government has denied all accusations. The Pantsvillean government claims it will spare no effort to try and rescue the crew of the ship, however with the two countries being incredibly far away from each other, it looks difficult as to whether a situation will be reached before more information has come out. The government of [nation=noflag]Papalania[/nation] has offered to mediate the situation and intends to preserve peace.
