The League & Concord: Z-Day 11 Recap and Awards

Performance Recap and Awards

Nations of The League & Concord,

Z-Day 11 has come to a close, and we had a wildly successful result across our two regions. This was by far the most challenging Z-Day we’ve confronted, having two regions this year as opposed to one, both being substantially larger than the single one had been in years past. Additionally, we did not close our borders and were more conservative with ejections. In spite of all of that, our performance was absolutely outstanding.

Performance Recap

The League concluded with 0.0% infection (no zombies remaining) and a Z-Rating of -23.5 (Safe Haven). Concord performed similarly well with a 0.8% infection rate and a Z-Rating of -14.2 (Becoming Safe). These excellent results earned us four global leadership slots, listed below.

  • 5th place in “Most Survivors + No Quarantine” (The League, 756 billion)

  • 18th place in “Most Survivors + No Zombies” (The League, 756 billion)

  • 24th place in “Most Survivors + No Quarantine” (Concord, 120 billion)

  • 25th place in “Most Survivors” (The League, 756 billion)

To visualize our outstanding performance, Spode Humbled Minions / Mechanocracy has produced the following graphs for us. These show just how successfully our efforts repelled the zombie infection’s spread, despite resets and other nonsense.

Z-Day 11 Awards

With that recap out of the way, it is time for the Office of the Consulate to introduce our most distinguished members throughout the event. We have selected five individuals to award the Z-Day 11 Service Medal based on our observations of events throughout the plague.

The Castle of Dark Illusions (Raziel)

Undoubtedly the most-valuable-player of the zombie apocalypse, Raziel led The League’s response throughout nearly the entire event. Between their continuous posting of priority targets in both Discord and gameside, combined with their emergency border control utilization, Raziel kept our borders secure and our nations intact. Their unrelenting attentiveness and perseverance kept members inline and the strategy successful, for which they deserve substantial credit.

Spode Humbled Minions / Mechanocracy

The brains (haha get it) behind the “Rakeo Air Core”, Spode and his army of medicine-robot puppets were essential to our outbreak response in both regions. His brutal, multi-browser strategy was unmatched in efficiency in anti-zombie efforts and ensured Concord’s safety throughout the event, the undead menace was never able to resurge after the initial sweep under Spode’s directive.

Ecalpa

The region’s gameside geezer, Ecalpa’s near-adult age nation has been a quiet giant in The League for years. However, they recently joined the World Assembly and then the Discord, and showed their potential for diligence and competence during this event. In addition to smooth enforcement of command’s orders, Ecalpa was quick to notice interlopers and saboteurs, an essential contribution during our no-quarantine response.

Moorland

The propaganda man himself, Moorland, was contributing to our Z-Day efforts weeks before the event by creating our graphics and branding, another addition to his excellent portfolio of work for Concord. Once things got underway, he joined Concord’s contact team and aided in transmitting orders to gameside in addition to being Spode’s right hand man in curing Concord whilst online.

Yixius

An extremely new member of The League, even newer to our off-site community, Yixius quickly dove into Z-Day contribution without hesitation. They assisted Raziel during some of the peak hours of the event with target selection, identification of sabotage and non-compliance, and other forms of coordination. Their early aid was exemplary and greatly enhanced the seamlessness of our zombie control.

Attached is a standard image for the Z-Day 11 Service Medal. For the SVG version, contact myself or Moorland on Discord (Cubic#1608 and Martlet#2766 respectively).

Thank you to all nations who contributed to our efforts this year. Everyone did wonderfully, and we look forward to our next regional events!
