IT'S Z-DAY!

But what is Z-Day?


Zombie Day, or Z-Day, is a 36-hour (not actually a day) long yearly NationStates sitewide event. For the next 36 hours, your nation will slowly be invaded by zombies. As time passes, the survivors in your nation will be converted into zombies. The site gives you three options to respond to this with:

1:EXTERMINATE ZOMBIES: This option allows you to kill zombies in other nations in the Bloc, converting the killed zombies into dead.

2:RESEARCH CURE: This option allows you to send cure missiles into other nations in the Bloc, converting their zombies back into survivors.

3:EMBRACE THE HORDE: This option allows you to send zombie hordes into other nations in the Bloc, converting their survivors into zombies.

OFFICIAL ORDERS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

EMBRACE THE APOCALYPSE. CURES ARE FOR CAPITALISTS.
INFECT YOUR COMRADES, TURN THEM INTO ZOMRADES. LET’S EAT THE RICH.

IT’S TIME FOR THE RISE OF ZOMMUNISM.


TO PARTICIPATE:

1. Go to your nation page.

2. Click on the biohazard symbol.

3. Select “EMBRACE ZOMBIES.”

4. After 30 minutes-ish have passed (shorter if you've been infected already, longer if not), you will unlock the ability to send hordes to other nations. Go to your comrades' nation pages and click the button to Things get slow for a second here. After waiting 1-3 hours to unlock the ability to send hordes, go to your comrades’ nation pages and click the button to start sending hordes in! Your hordes will be weak at first, and stronger as your nation is overrun by zombies.

5. Bloc government will occasionally post a list of specific nations to infect on the RMB. Help spread the good word of Zommunism by sending hordes into them! You can also post any nations you’d like to see infected.

TOP TIPS FOR SPREADING ZOMMUNISM:

1. If you notice a rogue nation trying to cure you, call them out on the RMB so we can send hordes at them! You can directly link to the nation by typing

[nation]NationNameHere[/nation]

Once a nation is zombified, they can’t cure or exterminate zombies in other nations.

2. The more infected a nation has, the stronger their zombie hordes are! Infect large and active nations first so that they can start powerfully infecting others. Infect smaller and active nations second. Infect inactive nations last.

3. Being hit by a horde will prevent a nation from using abilities of their own for the next 2 minutes. You can use this to stop any traitor anti-zommunists who are trying to cure others by bombarding them with hordes. If a fellow zomrade only has a few survivors left in their nation, don’t waste hordes on them–leave them alone so they can use hordes on others while the zombies in their nation naturally finish taking over.

FAQ

Is this event permanent? - No. Zombies starve to death if they don’t have enough people to eat, so you may eventually see your population dying. Don’t worry, everything will be reverted back to normal after the event ends. None of this is permanent.

Why are we embracing zombies instead of curing? - Because I (First Minister Iota) like zombies and horror, because most regions do cures and it’s boring, and because literally eating rich people is fun. Come on, embrace the Apocalypse – you know you want to!

Can I opt out of participating? - No. If you do nothing, zombies will passively spawn in your nation and overrun. You don’t have to actively play, and your nation will be reverted to normal after the event, but it will be affected during the event no matter what. May as well embrace it! Zommunism is inevitable.

Uh, everyone in my nation is dead, what do I do? - If you’re a small nation, there’s a chance this might accidentally happen, which will prevent you from using hordes. You can keep playing by creating a second nation, embracing zombies on it, moving it into TCB, and using it throughout the event instead of your main nation.

What if I have to leave for a bit? - That’s fine. Let people on the RMB know that you’re AFK so they can infect you while you’re gone and won’t be affected by having your hordes temporarily disabled. When you come back, you can happily resume infecting other nations.
