TOD Rules and Regulations

Disclosure, the bareness of the regulations factbooks are temporary

ALLIANCES:

-Alliances that are formed, consisting of Defensive and Economic foundations, are allowed to form with four or more founding member states.

-Mutual Defense Pacts, Non-Aggression Pacts, and Military Surplus and or trade are permitted even when inside of a military alliance.

-Charter is required for the formation of an alliance that is represented on the map.

-Nations are permitted to be within two official alliances holding four or more members. These will be represented on the Alliance map proper, but nations are permitted
to form alliances under 4 nations. These are known as Major and Minor Alliances, Minor alliances will not be represented.

WAR RP & CONSENT RULES:

    -God modding:
-God modding is not permitted. All RP must be conducted with enough IRL and IRP time to occur. Consent for actions against leaders lives or figures helps are required and
Posts are made to be clear with what their intent is, and to give time for the other person to react. Troops within combat are not immune, count your losses. Tanks and
Aircraft are not immune either, count your vehicular losses. Some examples are:

          -Excessive military sizes

          -Unrealistic strategies

-Teleported or fast military units: Troop transport and vehicle transport must take time. Your soldiers, no matter what technology you have, cannot teleport to someone's
Nation and fight instantly. Posts must include the army size and composition, and when they depart.

-Numerical Troop amounts need to be given within the RMB as to what you are sending. Simply stating "Nation A has sent a large counterforce" will not suffice. Posts such as "Nation A is sending a large force consisting of 45 Destroyers, 50 Submarines, and 3 Carriers" is sufficient. It does not matter how it is stated, so long as there is a clear and apparent listing of ships, troops, or aircraft within the post, it is fine.

    FLUFFY:

-Fluffing is prohibited within the RMB. Examples of fluffing are:

-Troop Spamming: Using extreme amounts of troops in large numbers without RPing the affects it has on your nation. Economically, workforce, logistics, morale, and so on.

-Monetary Spamming: Spending absurd amounts of currency without stating the effects it has taken onto your nation.

-Technological and Magical advantages: Technology and Magic have no affect on a nations standing in a war. Every war is equal to equal when it comes to technology and Magic. Meaning, a primitive nation could beat a super high tech nation evenly. This is the nations responsibility to use their heads and realistically come to an
understanding of how they wish for war to be conducted.

-Alliance Fluffing: All Alliances that are not official and not placed on the map, need to have RMB documentation of their pact being formed.
Example: Nation A and Nation B have both made an agreement of mutual defense OOC. On the RMB, they have both made posts that reflect this pact being formed.

War Conduction and WMD usuage:

-War RP is based on the Consent of two player nations agreeing to the storyline and conflict associated (or outright warfare). Conflicts cannot start without the consent of the other party, and the consent of actions and pre-planning of the two parties.

-WMD usage is permitted through two bounds of checks. The first barrier, is the consent of a nuclear weapon or another WMD from the other player nation. The second barrier is granted permission from the Moderation team. Without these two steps, the usage of WMDs or Nuclear Weapons outside of the permissions given, will result in an immediate voided post.
POST FORMATTING:

-All RMB posts that are creating are required to write a bold "IC" at the top of, followed by a title for your post. The title needs to reflect what your post is going to
be about. All RMB posts are required to be made in the tone of your nations perspective, not yours.

-Here is a following example of what an RMB post would be:

      IC: The Grand Transaction
The government of Burgerville has agreed to transfer the southern province of Frylandia to Sodicus.

-Out of character posts - where you are yourself - are permitted. The title of your post is required to have a bold "OOC" to signify.

-Here is a following example of what a OOC RMB post would be:

      OOC
So, how do we access the discord?

TECHNOLOGY:

-Custom Technology is allowed. Civilian technology, your everyday normal Non-Militarized technology, is rarely regulated. Military technology will be subject to review,
Potentially. Moderation is always open for questions. All technology must confine within the Technology rules given.

-There is no set time period for technology. While our RP started within 1975, this has no implication of time to the real world. Meaning nations can be as old or as young as they choose to be.

-Technology also falls under the category of no set time period. Meaning, if your nation is 15,000 years old and is highly advanced, you are permitted to make technology or weapons of warfare with that tech. All in all, the RP conducted is based on story mostly. Meaning your units won't matter how much you put into them, they have to be killable, and whatever story outcome that is agreed upon, remains that way. This also means if nations are highly advanced but wish to use outdated or primitive weaponry, this is permitted.

MILITARY SIZES:

-Military Sizes are calculated off your nations NS population or your IRP population. The calculations are:
      -0.5% of [INSERT NATION POPULATION]. 0.5% of 6000000000 0= 30000000.
(This is the maximum cap your nation. This is the absolute limit you can go into while at war. This, by no means, is a ticket to keep your forces at maximum capacity,
and a nation could keep its relative military size at around 1/3 of its maximum. If you are going to keep it at the maximum, RP of the consequences is required, your
nation must be geared for war, not a democracy passively building.)

-Equipment and units are not calculated to IRL standards. It is calculated to what your empire or nation can hold. TOD is a world of Super Powers constantly facing off, not earth sized nations and realism. While realism is required in some places, build your nation to TOD, not Earth.

ANNEXATION RULES:

These are the rules for land annexation:
-Traditional Land Claims: Land acquired through war with the claims of gaining land are done through two consenting nations for one receiving a tile, and one giving a
      tile

-Overlordship: Masters can, with consent, can acquire vassal land. Through direct annexation or financial acquisition.

      -
Financial Acquisition: Land, with consent, can be bought from overseas or near. During these purchases, Economic RP must be adhered and your nation must be affected.

      PUPPET NATIONS/PUPPET TILE CLAIMS

-Puppet nations on the map and within the Region are permitted, no set limit, Carto's discretion.

-Puppet nations are to only be formed from pre-existing host tiles that exist within the nation. A member cannot make a new puppet nation off fresh tiles.

TECHNOLOGY:

These are the following technologies are barred from IRP use:

    -Biological Weapons

    -Magical Superweapons

    -Futuristic WMD's

SPACE ROLEPLAY

FOUNDATIONS

The Following are the basic principles into the Space Roleplay : (These rules and further may be subject to change)

-The Space Roleplay is set within different stages that correspond to the IRP date.

-To access the Space Roleplay the nations must have researched the necessary components to do so before hand (Thrusters, rockets, orbital testing, launching satellites, etc)

-Bigger technology such as Railguns, battle mech's and space planes are permitted but into the later stages of the Roleplay (Inner Sol and Beyond)

-To make claims on exterior tiles outside of the base planet, Saliorah, an orbital presence must be established (via space stations)

-Maps for the planets will be located within the discord for claims

STAGING

The following are the staging and time periods that will progress the Space Roleplay:

    -Orbital Period: Present-2020

    -Lunar: 2020-2080

    -Inner System: 2080-2220

    -Outer System: 2220

-Orbital Period: The period in which Space Roleplay revolves around building stations and establishing a presence inside of Saliorah's own orbit.

-Lunar: The period in which moon colonization is possible.

-Inner Sol: The period in which access to the systems planets are available for colonization.

-Outer Sol: The period in which access to the Asteroid Belt is available for mining and settlement purposes.

COLONIZATION RULES

The following rules are the set rules for planet and moon colonization. As well, other emplacements for balancing purposes:

-There are 12 planets, but only 7 of them available for habitation in terms of colony development

-There is unrestricted access to a planets tiles on the habitable planets if there is uncontested reign of a nation. Every 5 years they are permitted to claim 5 tiles if the access is unrestricted and there are no other players on the planet to contest. In the even someone does land, the player that has been there first will begin to be limited to how many tiles they can take. Every 3 years they are permitted to claim 2 new tiles. For the newly arrived nation, they are permitted every 2 years to claim 3 tiles. If both of these nations reach an even size in terms of tiles then they will both reach a tile limit of 1 tile per 10 years. In the event both nations arrive at the same time, then there will be an immediate 1 tile per 10 years applied to them. If there are multiple nations involved on one planet, then the rules still apply.

-Orbital Presence requires a space station to cement a nations presence. Satellites, manned missions are ways to project yourself but do not offer a substantial claim into space.

-For claiming tiles on exterior bodies Space Stations will be required. For the Lunar Era, to claim tiles on the body the player will be required to construct a station that can transport their colonists and or manned missions to the moon and as well be able to refuel. For Planets, these Space Stations will be required to host larger stations capable of lunar based missions and beyond, establishing a dominance within the planets sphere.

-Getting to planets does not require a Space Station to reach them or to be built in orbit. However, it is a one way trip with that route. In order to return manned crafts or to return at all a station must be constructed in order to refuel your vessels to return them back.

-NO moving large asteroids or asteroids in general

-Technology grants are to be proposed before moderation as a whole. Do not approach a moderator with the intention of having one grant tech for you, it will be proposed before the entirety of moderation.

-Technology and weapons are stage related. Warships, proper space faring warships, should not be appearing or created before the Inner Sol and Outer Sol periods. The Inner Sol period has been restricted to having the construction of a few corvette class vessels and colony ships. The bigger space faring and warfare faring ships will come in within the Outer Sol period.

COMBAT

These are the following rules for Space Combat and boarding:

-Boarding of space stations and crafts are permitted. Permission and OOC consent are required

-Combat within space still applies under the TOD War and Consent rules

-Space Combat in terms of warships still falls underneath the War RP rules.
