The Carner Institute: ---------

Research regarding this which cannot be described. Research conducted primarily by Cornelia Suitor with assistance by many of the Research Department. Report by Cornelia Suitor, Senior Researcher at the Carner Institute of Auberton. Awaits review from Principle Researcher.

This report will be pretty difficult to write due to the subject matter of it. Reported to us by a woman who bought this at a storage auction out in Talsara, we have come across this. What is this? I cannot say. This is not because I choose to not describe this, but because I am physically incapable of doing so. Any attempt I make at speaking about a description for this, writing one, drawing one, even attempt charades to describe this are unable to be done.

I cannot describe the dimensions of this. I cannot describe the mass, weight, nor density of this. I cannot describe the appearance of this. This is indescribable. When attempting to give details of any aspect regarding this, I find myself stopping right before I can. I do not feel compelled to stop describing this, I just stop. I have sought help from many others in my department to see the effects and have seen that no one else is capable of giving any sort of explanation as to what this is in any sort of way. We do know our experiences and interactions with this, but find it impossible to elaborate. We can use verbs to describe this, however, though these descriptions offer nothing meaningful to giving an actual account.

We have found only two ways to actually refer to this. The first, as shown plenty within my report, is the word “this”. We can confirm that the word “this” is not the name of this as many of us have tried to give a name or designation, from personal names to glorious names to even bland label names, of which none of us have been able to even mutter the words needed to name this. The second way to describe this is to say that we cannot describe this. Apparently acknowledging that none of us are able to label, report on, or even give any details on this is part of the anomaly afflicting this.

The closest we have gotten to describing this is by going around this all together and describing what we believe the anomaly is surrounding this, but this itself is limited. By my estimates, the anomaly present prevents any who are made aware of this from being able to describe this. The anomaly directly alters the communication abilities of any attempting description. The effects seem to be isolated purely to details surrounding this.

The limitations surrounding talking about the anomaly is that we cannot talk about the anomaly as a replacement for a description this. We considered the idea of speaking of the anomaly as if it were this, but found the same effects unfold. We can speak of the anomaly, but we cannot speak of it as if it were this. I believe no further tests are needed.

Investigator Lachlan Graham, whom was the first to bring this to us, was unable to give a conclusion regarding this, as such I have nothing myself to affirm as I will do the classification. I believe the anomaly to meet the Institute’s criteria for a Delirium Anomaly and should be classified as one form of Amnesic Influence, which seems to be the most fitting classification within our current categories. This offers no actual threat to any and the research we can do, as shown, is far too limited to carry further.

Recommended procedure to be determined by Principal Researcher.
