Stadium informations

Because I really should have this all in one place instead of linking a bunch of nonsense from all over. Maybe the wiki. Someday.

Wayr Stadium: Take the monorail from Outrive, in the middle of the Rackham Range, until you get to this mountainous stadium. Despite the lack of urban area, this was the national team's main home for many years. If you stare even farther up the mountains you can make out their old practice facility from back in the "thirties" of the World Cup.

Janaki Gardens: Guariday is located in the deep southwest, amid a sprawling temperate rainforest. Look for fans in treehouses being smug about the importance of environmentalism. They also love to cheer talented defenders and goalkeepers. Their favorite board game is Sheriff of Nottingham.

Stelladome: Spenson's vast suburbs were the home of the space program after the modern country was created (which was a relatively recent event--because of this, there isn't a strong sense of "national" identity beyond sports). The stadium is an older structure but with lots of modern screens. (Technically, it is located in the nearby suburb of Fulpog, but that's still part of the Spenson area.) Fans will be curious as to how capitalism, and space travel, work in other countries. Their favorite board game is Hearts.

Simplex 3: shared between the professional 102d Jr.s and the University of 102d; the pep band can occasionally be seen leading pep rallies or pulling complicated pranks. 102d (pronounced "ten-tude") is known for being on the cutting edge of trendy innovations. Their favorite board game is Scrabble, which isn't very trendy, except when literal zebras are involved.

Stabb Field: Although the city of Cham does not have a professional baseball team, and Zwangzug as a whole doesn't have any other professional leagues, that has not stopped the enterprising team owners from building a large multi-sports arena, Stabb Field, with the intent that its courts not in use for sports games should be free and open to the public. Unfortunately, this being Zwangzug, you are as likely to see mad scientists conducting dubious experiments in the "free and open" spaces as you are anyone playing basketball, rugby, or other less-popular sports. Cham is home to a large population of German speakers, and the city's favorite board game is Star Realms.

ZS^3: short for "Zwischen Soccer-Specific Stadium," although most fans call it "football," they just liked the acronym. Zwischen is the nation's capital. Visitor attractions include the "Ziggurat," the former government headquarters and occasional scene of inter-parliament strife. Fans love all-out attack but can get overly concerned about player injuries. Their favorite board game is The Resistance.

Eagles' Club: located near the Deep Blue Lake. This is the home of the AIU (Artificial Intelligence University) which produces many robots, economic and otherwise. Legend has it that Zwangzug's national football team began here, after one student hit another in the head with a Frisbee and they decided they needed better sports. This was also the headquarters of the original football association until it was bulldozed to put in a new train station. There's not a professional team based there, but the national team got the right to build a stadium of that name after winning the "Eagles' Cup" tournament.

Groth Park: Canbix is the classic example of the "bitter center"--what might have been an imposing skyline pre-Consolidation is now mostly scenery, with polluting factories shut down under the government's strict environmentalist policies. The fans enjoy aggressive tackling but will boo time-wasters. Their favorite board game is Shadow Hunters.

Bug House: Twineur is somewhat of a college town. Fans have a good sense of humor, but look down on time-wasters. Their favorite board game is Fuse.

Eglantine Park (west FTC)/Palloci Pagoda Park (East FTC): For silly musical-related reasons (don't ask), Zwangzug's two largest cities grew next to each other. The west side is traditionally known as "Merano"; fans are snooty and consider themselves cultured. The east side is traditionally known as "Bangkok"; fans are prone to rioting and making incomprehensible math puns. However, it's more common these days to just refer to the entire area as "the FTC" ("fraternal twin cities"). Their favorite board game is Mafia/Werewolf.

Kyogijo Concord: The stadium is known for its slightly garish rainbow gradient of seat colors. Trink is a contentious city whose fans' major rivalry is with the nearby (non-sporting) city of Danhy, who they decry as elitist oppressors in comparison to Trink's downtrodden rabble (which, given the socialist economy in Zwangzug, is not a fair comparison). Their favorite board game is Hanabi, and the stadium staff will spare no expense at sensory-overloading you with fireworks after the game.

Pacific Field: Bassabook is located in the southeast, which is a more socially- and religiously-conservative area than the country as a whole. There's a famous fountain in a downtown plaza that's a fun tourist site. Fans tend to enjoy singing complicated chants along with the matches. Their favorite board game is Bananagrams.

City Athletic Venue: Arlington tends to be cold, there are lots of skyways to help pedestrians (and everyone is a pedestrian) stay warm. Their fans are said to be the most "averagely-Zwangzugian." They value preserving the past and archiving history, but not being unbearable old fogeys about it. Their favorite board game is Pandemic, unless that's a little "too soon," in which case they're mostly just into baseball.

Ayathen Arena: Alleged to be "cursed," not that the team is really unlucky, but a lot of little things can go wrong during your visit there, so look out. Keppal City is not located in the nearby Keppal district, because our government is annoying like that. Fans like to grumble about how annoying like that the government is. Their favorite board game is 1313 Dead End Drive.

Merle Park: Hope City (cities with similar names being comparatively prevalent throughout the multiverse) is certainly its clearest example of grandiose planning. The original streets formed a circular pattern with the main hubs emanating from City Hall. The modern conversion to a predominantly train-based system of transportation may have reduced travel times, but provoked much grousing at the loss of charm. Makes for good tourism, though. Because there wasn't really a great place to build a football stadium in the middle of the circular design, Sporting Esper play their home games in the suburb of Alden. Hope City's favorite board game is Communist Poker.
