Dernellian Industries D-2 14.4mm Anti-Material Rifle (D-2AMR)

The D-2 is a massive weapon, utilized for taking out armored vehicles such as IMV's and their drivers. It uses a 14.4x130mm cartridge often in an APDS form, resulting in a depleted uranium munition being used. This munition has earned itself the nickname "Soul-Ripper Sabot" for when it was once used in an anti-personnel situation which lead to the "red mist" phenomenon.

Rate of Fire: Bolt action, user dependent.

Mass: 20kg.

Ammunition: 14.4x130mm, typically depleted uranium APDS rounds. Lead range munitions, and lead APDS simulation rounds exist.

Range: The D-2 has an effective range of 3 kilometers.

Muzzle Energy: 33,000+ joules when fired out of a 1300mm barrel.

Frame: The D-2 features a predominantly steel frame, with polymer utilized where possible.

Safeties: A simple button safety, safe or fire.

Bolt Action: The D-2 is a bolt action rifle, operating with a 5 round magazine, or simply by one round at a time.

Rails: The D-2 has picatinny rails along the length of the top of the gun, as well as the length of the sides and bottom after the receiver, to the end of the hand guard.

Barrel: 1300mm long to maximize velocity without getting too much larger than needed.

Tripod: The D-2 is by standard issued with a bipod, as well as a monopod built into the stock allowing for proper tripod use to stabilize and fire the gun.
