States and Territories

Mapelania has Six States and the Capital City of Acernis:

New Arbor- First State of Mapelania where people first landed, lush forests and hills with lots of urbanized areas and old architecture in the cities, very clean and environmentally friendly, a common theme in the whole Country. Geographically Top Right and borders Libertatum to the South-West and Brandonia to the South as well as the Capital Territory between the two in the South. Population: 6,000,000

Libertatum- Middle Land of Mapelania the Second State, Only state with no Ocean access but rich in resources like oil causing major cities to pop up throughout the State, with a desert to the North-West, Forest in the North-East and plains sinking in the middle, and the Jungle of Brandonia to the East Libertatum truly has a diverse landscape. It borders every State and Acernis. Population: 5,000,000

Ingenstein- The Third State of Mapelania Ingenstein is known for its coastline which stretches almost the whole West Coast and in the south, the state is known for its fishing industry and tourism with its sparkling beaches and welcoming cities, inland there are less cities as it goes into the desert and mostly plains. In the South Ingenstein borders Monsurbes’ Mountains and has a large quantity of the states population in the southern region this southern region has ice and glaciers to the location of Mapelania in the Southern Hemisphere. Population: 9,000,000

Monsurbes- Fourth State and the smallest by area Monsurbes is an economic powerhouse this state has very urbanized areas surrounded by Mountains and valleys all rich with iron, copper, silver and other rare metals. The Mountains are also good for climbing. Monsurbes is located in the Low East of Mapelania and borders Ingenstein in the West to the South, Libertatum to the North and Brandonia to the East. Monsurbes can be fairly polluted in inner cities but you would hardly believe to be in the same state while on a Mountain or in a Cave System. Population: 2,000,000

Tribusterra- Fifth State of Mapelania this State was made as a relocation center for the Native Tribe of the Island after we pushed them to the North-West Coast in the War of the Natives, as a compromise the Natives would get this state to have their own local government and no other citizens besides the tribal peoples in exchange for peace to the Mapelanian Government and free passage to New Mapelanians. The State has much desert and plains with tribal villages and large communities and towns of many tribes anyone can visit there but living in the State is strictly for Natives to the island and the offspring of at least one Native.

Brandonia- The sixth and newest state to Mapelania is Brandonia. Named after the first President, Brandon Selpam, this state is covered in dense Jungle and has cities on the coast and the border before the jungle which is inland, the state has a large gulf on the southern end. Brandonia borders New Arbor to the North, Libertatum to the West and Monsurbes to the South. Population: 900,000

Saint Jimmy Island: A small temperate island in the middle of the Great Gulf of Mapelania home to few people and a small city the island is not a state it is federally owned land due to civil disputes between Brandonia and Monsurbes.

Acernis (Capital City): Acernis is an Independent city from any state to not show bias towards any one state, this is the biggest city in Mapelania located in the north center of the island it also is a very large city considered a “mega city” with a population of over one million. Its laws are just federally controlled. Population: 7,000,000
