History of Amayna: Part Two: The Ancient Rebellion:

ADVICE: READ THE FIRST PART OF AMAYNIAN HISTORY BEFORE READING THIS PART!

The city state of Gol-Mar had finally gathered up enough troops to face the Zhou Dynasty. With their army if about 500 soldiers, the Gol-Marians went from propaganda oracle bones to a full-scale war against the Zhou! The first battle was The Battle of Muo-Muo. Muo-Muo was a small village outside of Gol-Mar. The Gol-Marians took little casualties, while the Zhou forces lost an estimated 50 soldiers with another 25 injured, according to preserved writing that was found buried under one of the ancient village's houses. After this battle, the Gol-Marian-turned soldiers marched to the Zhou town of Hiwari. Hiwari was a large town owned by the Zhou that was filled with resources and was a popular trading sight. The Gol-Marians easily took Hiwari because of the low amount of guards there. With new reaources, Gol-Mar was able to create new weapons and armour, and they were even able to hire new soldiers who lived in Hiwari. Now with their forces up to 600 men, the Gol-Marians went into a series of skirmishes with the Zhou, before breaking the small patterns of battles and leading a spearhead through the Zhou's lines. According to ancient papers that were excavated from soldier's burial sites, the Zhou had lost a few more crushing defeats before surrendering and granting Gol-Mar independence. Historians do not know exactly what these battles were, though, for most of the ink on the scrolls has long-since faded and smeared. Part 3 will focus on how Gol-Mar shaped itself after splitting off from the rest of China.
