Ellbonnian Intelligence Agency Assault Record 150: Warren, Kenneth (Declassified)

NAME: 1st Lt. Kenneth "Ken" WARREN, Air Force.

POSITION: Flight commander (1st Lieutenant since 12 Sept. 2018; officially assigned to the 410th Air Division, 64th Reconnaissance Squadron).

SIGNIFICANCE: 1st Lt. Warren, an intelligent, ambitious, professionally competent and experienced pilot, is widely admired and respected by fellow Erusean officers. He is one of the highest-scoring Erusean flying aces in the Second Usean Continental War. Between 15 May and 5 August 2019, Warren participated in ten sorties, shooting down seven Osean aircraft (1 F-16C, 1 Mirage 2000-5, 3 CH-47s, and 2 unknown) and destroying thirty-four ground targets. He flew a Saab JAS-39E Gripen E multirole fighter, serial number 02 (one of Saab's two company demonstrator planes, both impounded by Erusea upon the outbreak of the war). 1st Lt. Warren was shot down near Bulgurdarest by an F-2A of the Osean Air Defense Force's 444th Squadron, piloted by the Osean ace "Trigger", on August 5. He survived ejecting from his aircraft and was recovered by nearby Osean forces, becoming a prisoner of war for the rest of the conflict (all other members of the 64th Recon Squadron were KIA during Operation: Full House). Warren was released from Osean custody on 2 December 2019, and continued serving in the Erusean Air Force before being honorably discharged on 1 October 2020. He is currently a test pilot for Saab's aerospace division, having been hired by the Ellbonnian corporation in early 2021.

POLITICS:

International: Anti-Communist and anti-Yuktobanian, 1st Lt. Warren has always spoken favorably of, and desires to keep close ties with, the Holy Kingdom of Ellbonnia. He has twice travelled to Ellbonnia and currently resides in the country. He favors the acquisition of Ellbonnian equipment and the training of Erusean military personnel in Ellbonnian service schools. He shared the common concern of most EAF officers over the threat of a possible invasion of Erusea by the Osean Federation.

Internal: 1st Lt. Warren is radical in his political thinking. It is believed that he strongly advocated for war during the administration of the late King D'Elise III, viewing the construction of the International Space Elevator as illegal and a threat towards Erusean sovereignty. Warren enjoyed the complete confidence of Clifton Bernard Dreyfus (Air Marshal, 2015-2019).
