Scotia Flow in Detail (sort of) - It Flies

Issue 30, January 1959

After almost three years of development the first prototype of the F56 Thunderscreech took flight. We don't have many specifics about the aeroplane but we can confirm one thing. It is loud. Very, very loud. Probably has some guns. One of our brave journalists asked the lead designer, Alexander Cartwheel, about the loudness of the aircraft.

"Well, you see, the craft is so loud because the blades of the propeller are constantly moving at supersonic speeds. Sounds crazy, right? It will instill FEAR INTO THE ENEMIES OF SCOTIA FLOW! That is, if we had any. Man, I really hope we'd have enemies to test this mighty beast on. Uhh, anyways, the prototype flies, but it has some pretty major maneuverability issues. Now clear off, I am thinking about ways to fix that."
