Kara Edwards

Biography

Kara Edwards doesn't remember much of her childhood before the Outbreak began, the only thing she remembered was that she was at a family gathering with her parents when everything went to chaos. She remembered the bloody screams of her family as they got eaten by the Infected as her cousin took her away to take her some place safe. A few days passed after the United States government collapsed and went hiding, Kara and her cousin never got a chance to enter the quarantine communities that were scattered across America forcing the two to survive on their own in ruined cities. A few years passed and Kara's cousin would be killed by a gang of bandits, forcing the sixteen-year-old Kara to fend for herself out in the wild trying to find food, water, and shelter. During her travels Kara would make friends with other survivors that weren't apart of the quarantine communities, but overtime Kara would lose her friends and lovers to either Infected or bandits forcing her to be a lone wolf for four years.

On one fateful day however, Kara's life would completely change as she would meet a certain woman who would save her. After a fight with a couple of bandits, Kara was badly injured in her stomach she wasn't able to move at all the only thing she could do was lay on the ground and wait until an Infected comes and eats her. That was until Overseer Quinn and her Z Milita discovered her while looking for supplies, Quinn seeing the injured Kara quickly patched her up and brought her back to Area 6-Z to get better medical treatment. Once Kara fully recovered, she thanked Quinn for saving her life and wanting to repay Quinn for saving her, Kara decided to stay in Area 6-Z and join Quinn's Milita. At first Quinn was surprised that she wanted to join and told her she had no debts to repay, but Kara still insisted on joining anyway in which Quinn welcomed her with open arms.

Kara would go on and help Quinn find supplies for the community and it would be during these supply missions that the two would get to know each other very well and form a connection. During her talks with Quinn, Kara would discover that the Overseer faced the same struggles of losing family and friends while also suffering from PTSD. It is through these talks that the two would soon form a romantic interest between each other until one night both Kara and Quinn confessed their love to each other. Now that they were lovers, Kara would make sure she would take care of Quinn and make sure she's doing well both psychically and mentally.
