GPC Parties in a Nutshell

GPC Parties in a Nutshell

If you’re new (whether it be to the site or to the GPC) or you’re just downright confused, this is - one of the many - guides for you! This’ll cover every one of the GPC parties’ beliefs in a simple, easy to understand paragraph. For full detailing, please read So pep’s Political Party Guide.

The Liberal Democrats

Led by So pep, the LDs are currently the opposition party. They stand for equal rights, which means they will ensure that every citizen is respected and represented. They advocate free healthcare for everyone. They also wish to increase freedom in the GPC, which could lead to higher rates of hostility toward foreigners and more crime, but will create a feeling of togetherness between our nations. They will remove restrictive travel laws, and citizens will not have to own VISAs to enter any country. Although this could cause upset between countries against this idea, it would also boost tourism and general happiness. They support eco friendly alternatives, and the environment, but will put people first if it comes to it.

The Green Republicans
Party of Sartell koltis and North tarke, the GRs are the current party in power. They are in support of privatisation. This could boost the economy enormously but it could also mean the price of simple objects increases. Public health systems will be paid for by private systems which could discourage businesses from working in the GPC, however it would mean healthcare was free which is a big benefit. The environment is protected at all costs and weapons (as long as they are environmentally friendly) are allowed. This may increase death rates. Tax is reduced to 10% or less, giving citizens more freedom with their money.

Popular Authoritarian Party
Home to Greaterfrance, the PAPs promote order and monarchy. They are against immigration, which could increase job opportunities but also decrease the economy. It values economy over civil and political rights, meaning the GPC will be wealthy but not necessarily free during their rule. It is heavily centred on technology and nuclear power. Death penalty will be legal, causing lots of deaths but a decrease in crime.

Party for the People
Created by Kingdom of the peps, the PfP stands for equality, fair wages, workers’ rights, free education, environmentally friendly supplies and support for the homeless. However, the tax will have to increase up to 40/50% to do all of these things. This could lead to economic struggles but would mean there would be little difference in wealth between citizens. Criminals would be given a second chance in a detention centre, and freed if they show pittance (but monitored). This may lead to an increase in crime. All religions, viewpoints, sexualities and ideologies are accepted even if they go against the party’s own. They value civil and political rights over the economy, which could create a struggling economy, but mean people would be happier. A space program will be created and immigration is supported, to a certain point. Whether the GPC has a monarchy or not will be put to a vote. Votes would be regular and secret. Most of the decisions are left to the people. This could result in rash decisions but also complete representation.

The Valiant Freedom Fighters
Made by Wardis, the VFFs value complete freedom. There would be no police forces and firearms are legal. This could create complete havoc, but would also give the people more control. Everything will be privatised and taxes at zero. This could either go two ways: complete mayhem or a nation with complete freedom.
