NEWS BROADCAST SYSTEMS TURN ON TO PRESIDENT ON A PODIUM IN CARACAS. NEXT TO HIM IS THE VP AND OTHER GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS. ON THE OTHER SIDE IS HIS FAMILY, HIS WIFE AND THREE KIDS. THE PRESIDENT SPEAKS,
“Greetings, my fellow Coretans. Today we are here to celebrate the date that we gained our independence from the Amazonian Empire. We start when the Spanish landed in South America and conquered a huge amount of land. Later, everyone banded together to fight against the Spanish Empire and gain independence as the Amazonian Empire. A few years after that, we fought for our independence in 1812, and gained it. We stayed peaceful until World War 1, where we sent troops to fight against Germany. Then came the Great Depression, a hard time for our country. However, after that, we made the huge mistake of joining the Axis during World War 2. We payed our price and lost, however, out fascist dictatorship was not removed from leadership. In 1979, we revolted against him and won. We then had to face the collapse of Hotel Victoria in November of 2020. Then, came the month-long civil war. We were able to make peace, but our country is still in a bad spot. However, we still hope that we can make our country go back to being rich and stable. And now, it is time for our beautiful national anthem!”

Once a beautiful and wealthy nation, has now fallen into a group of warring states. Many have lost hope that Coretas will ever return to its former glory, and fled the country to other nations. For those remaining, they would have to face a giant war between 14 different nations. Food and supplies would be scarce again, and businesses might all be gone. It is unknown whether Coretas will ever return back to wealthiness and stability. Who knows how Coretas will be reunited, or if it will ever be reunited again?

Coretas wrote:Amazonas Surprise Attacks Bolívar

The leader of Amazonas sends bomber planes to bomb military bases in Bolívar by surprise. No citizens are hurt, but many soldiers have been injured or killed. The leader of Bolívar reacted to this by getting their army and marching into Amazonas. Tanks, soldiers, and armored vehicles exchanged fire at each other, marking the first conflict in this bloody internal conflict in Coretas.

Coretas wrote:The People’s Republic of Guyana Launches a Surprise Invasion on the Republic of Guyana

About 2,300 troops from the PRG march into the Republic of Guyana, with support from the CSR. This did not take many by surprise, as many knew that this would happen because their leaders are bitter rivals. They were able to take the city of Ituni easily within just a few hours of invading. Many northern Guyanese troops ran back to take the city, but since they did not have any allies unlike the PRG, they were immediately defeated. This also made many people driving on a road get caught in crossfire between the two different sides, and many innocent citizens lost their lives. The Guyanese had no other options but to use planes to bomb the city of Ituni. However at the last second before sending the planes, Nojias decided not to send them because he did not want more citizens to lose their lives.

While this was happening, the UCI(Union of Coretan Islands) blockaded the sea between each of the six islands to cut the supply line for Coretas. This led to a huge naval battle between both sides, there were around 200 casualties, but in the end, the UCI ended up winning because their soldiers were more trained to fight in the sea. This made most of the supplies of Coretas not able to arrive to Coretas, which left many people without food or supplies.

Coretas wrote:The CSR and PRG Make Their Alliance Official

Just today, the CSR and PRG signed a formal treaty, making the first alliance between two nations in this conflict. Other nations, however, do not try to make peace with one another as they want to conquer all Coretan-owned territory. This alliance puts both the CSR and the PRG at risk, though, as many other nations could team up and attack them.

In other news, the PRG continues to advance into northern Guyana, while the South Colombian Confederacy(SCC) finally invades its two Colombian counterparts, the Colombian-Coretan Republic(CCR) and the Eastern Colombian Confederacy(ECC). The SCC makes staggering progress in the CCR, but is currently locked in a stalemate with the ECC. Amazonas and Bolívar continue their conflict, with Amazonas and Bolívar bombing each other’s airbases. This has led to both sides seeing a decrease in troops and equipment, so both sides begin conscripting soldiers, producing mass amounts of equipment, and training soldiers very professionally. Up in the Caribbean, Coretas has had numerous attempts to break the blockade by the UCI, but most have been completely unsuccessful. The only partly successful attempts only include the destruction of a small number of ships, which would later be replaced easily. This sudden war has seen a massive spike in Merel cases, with the country almost arriving at 7,000 cases, plus all presidents have been trying to control inflation rates within their respective territory.

Coretas wrote:Northern Coretan Republic Invades Tint Strip of Land in Bolívar

The Northern Coretan Republic(NCR) decided to finally join the conflict. They started by setting up troops near the Bolívar border on June 7th, and have now invaded and occupied a tiny strip of land in Bolívar. However, the people in Bolívar were not surprised, as they were expecting for the strip of land to get taken, so they set it up with many land mines and will be retaking the land within a few days of today.

Emergency Broadcast-

(ALARM SOUND) WARNING! THIS IS A WARNING ISSUED FROM THE CNDAS. PLEASE SEEK SAFETY! MULTIPLE BOMBS HAVE JUST BEEN DROPPED ON THE CITY OF CARACAS. IF YOU ARE IN THE CITY OF CARACAS, OR WITHIN 150 MILES OF THE CITY, PLEASE SEEK SHELTER AT A LOCAL BOMB SHELTER OR YOUR BASEMENT. WE WILL NOW HEAR A WORD FROM OUR PRESIDENT.

“Yes, multiple bombs have been dropped on Caracas a few minutes ago. No planes were spotted before the bombing, which means that no evacuations could’ve been made, and many civilians died in the bombing. The bombers have been identified as part of the CSR. Mr. Salvador, this is a message. We will be sending 30,000 troops on boat to travel through the Gulf of Venezuela and into your controlled territory. We are telling you this so we can properly fight. And to any other countries watching this message, we do not want any intervention in this battle. It is us against a group that has been terrorizing our nation for some time now. Thank you.”

THANK YOU FOR TUNING INTO THE MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT. REMEMBER, IF YOU LIVE WITHIN 150 KM OF CARACAS, SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.

Coretas wrote:Coretan Troops Land in La Guajira

On the early morning of June 25th, 30,000 troops landed on the beaches of La Guajira in CSR controlled territory. They pushed through the state and captured small cities along the way. Coretas had also brought in tanks that would be very useful in the taking of these cities. Citizens in the cities were supporting the invasion being done by the Coretan forces. However, these citizens seemed like they were about to rebel against the CSR and try to assist Coretas, so CSR soldiers and tanks marched outside onto the streets of cities. These citizens started to harass the soldiers, however, they were all quickly gunned down by CSR troops. The troops and tanks did not have mercy, as they gunned down and brutally slaughtered the citizens without hesitation. It is estimated that around 20,000 citizens were killed, which gave Coretan forces a reason to push harder then necessary and take back their citizens. In other news, Merel cases in Coretan controlled territory had started to go down. However, other lands were still seeing huge numbers of cases. The cases had just reached 25,000, which mean that something had to be done. Only 5 nations other than Coretas took action and started researching for their own medicines.

Coretas wrote:Current War Review

As of right now, there are 10,093 soldier deaths and 3,058 civilian deaths. Here is the current situation:

Coretas-Has started to been successful in destroying ships in the blockade caused by the Islands using bomber planes, but the advancement in the CSR has halted due to soldiers finding it hard to fight in the scorching hot summer heat.

CSR-The famine has started to see a comeback, while attempts at pushing Coretas back have been mostly unsuccessful.

Eastern Colombian Confederation-The stalemate with the SCC continues, but minor advancements from the SCC.

Southern Colombian Confederation-While the stalemate with ECC continues, there have been minor advancements made from the SCC, mostly in the west.

Colombian-Coretan Republic-The conflict with the SCC has been slow recently, due to the hot weather.

Commune of Darion-Not much has happened in there, however they are now part of the alliance with the CSR and the PRG.

Free Nation of Maracaibo-No activity.

Free Nation of Amazonas-The war with Bolivares has been rapid. Both sides are bombing supply locations and cities. The city bombings include civilian deaths, building destruction, and lack of supplies.

Republic of Bolivares-The advancement into Amazonas has been fast, as they now almost have a quarter of their land.

Self-proclaimed Republic of Coretas-Has asked all countries around the world to recognize them instead of Coretas.

Northern Coretan Republic-Readies military near the occupied strip of land to fight back forces from Bolivar.

The Republic of Guyana-Fighting back the PRG has been hard, as the PRG has been receiving support from Dorian and the CSR.

The People's Republic of Guyana-Has been receiving aid and support from Dorian and the CSR, however it has been a little hard recently due to the supplies being shot down by other nations.

Union of Coretan Islands-The blockade is starting to be broken by Coretan aircraft, and it prepares for a surprise land invasion that is soon to come.

In terms of merel cases, cases have slowed down in Coretas, while in other nations, they are still going up rapidly. With all other nations combined, there are almost 55,000 cases and 24,000 deaths. In the CSR alone, there are 20,000 cases.

Coretas wrote:New Type of Strategy in the War?

A soldier from Amazonas was bribed by a soldier from Bolívar to blow up an army base. The soldier in Amazonas set a bomb in the army base and blew it up, killing 21 soldiers and destroying vehicles and weapons. This tactic then got popular and spread amongst other nations. These briberies include: Hijacking a plane in the CSR, setting off 13 bombs in Guyana, and firing at a dock in the UCI with a ship. This had been referred to by many as “traitorous warfare”, and was highly successful in creating damage and slowing down advancements of the different nations. These could range from one man firing a gun at his allies to a group of men hijacking multiple tanks. The bribers would then pay the traitors in large amounts of money to switch over to their team.

This type of warfare had also prevented Bolívar from taking back the strip of land in the NCR. In fact, it was a devastating defeat for them, and they lost a little land. This strategy had also slowed down the plans of invading the Coretan mainland from the UCI. Many military bases were completely abandoned altogether due to factories and repair centers being destroyed.

Coretas wrote:Coretas Continues To Rapidly Advance Into the CSR

As Coretas continues to advance, the fighting of the CSR becomes harsher. They have used multiple strategies throughout the conflict, including the traitorous warfare. However, disaster came for the CSR when they were being chased by Coretan troops. They were planning to stop at a military base to pick up more troops and pick up vehicles. However, the Coretans caught onto this and they conducted an air raid over the base, meaning they couldn’t pick any more troops up. This led to all troops being killed or captured. This was a huge win for Coretas, and a devastating defeat for the CSR. The Coretan forces were nearing the city of Medellín, and once it was captured, it was all over for the CSR.

Coretas wrote:Coretas Wants To Improve Its Military

The president has decided to improve its military. More factories will be built to produce more vehicles and weapons. The military will also be trained by generals who are very skilled in fighting and in strategy. The country will also higher its military spending so it can produce more weapons and vehicles. The president hopes that this will make the war end sooner.

Bolívar and Amazonas Sign a Ceasefire

After almost two months of fighting, both sides sign a ceasefire. Both leaders met in Ciudad Bolívar and have realized that they are killing hundreds of innocent lives and destroying hundreds of perfect infrastructure. They have agreed to stop fighting, but Bolívar will keep its occupied land. The border will be heavily militarized and so will the occupation zone.

Bolívar Pushes 30,000 Troops Into Amazonas

The ceasefire agreement signed by both sides didn’t mean anything, as a few days later, Bolívar has made the biggest surprise attack in the civil war. The extremely outnumbered and unready troops in Amazonas rushed to fight, but they were no match for the strategic fighting of Bolívar. In just a few days, they captured the city of Puerto Ayacucho, and the military general leading the country surrendered. However, fighting continued as troops from Amazonas formed their own group because they did not want to see their faction fall. Fighting lasted for a few more days, and then the troops were captured. Amazonas had been captured by Bolívar, and now it was being occupied.

Coretas wrote:War With Taiknor and Invasion of the URC

20,000 troops will get ready for an invasion of the URC. We had not hoped for direct conflict between us and Taiknor, but with the declaration of war, we have no other choices. Bombs will also be dropped on military bases in Taiknor, and any ships and planes are given orders to shoot and ships or planes that came from Taiknor. President Natero states that he himself had been wishing for Taiknor to become a good ally of Coretas in the future, but now, that outcome is unlikely.

Unexpectedly, the three communist break-away states, had allied with the URC as well and hoped to take down Coretas. Coretas now has to use a lot of its troops and send them to continue advancing into the CSR. Once they take them down, they will then invade Dorian. They will also wait for the PRG to take coastal areas of Guyana so then ships can carry soldiers to the PRG for an invasion and help Guyana in pushing back the PRG.

Coretas wrote:30,000 Troops Stationed In the ECC Push Into the CSR Eastward(Also I’m gonna start calling Coretan supporters in the civil war the Blue Coalition and the URC supporters the Red Coalition)

After a long time without any activity, the Blue Coalition pushed 30,000 troops into the CSR from the eastern border. The Red Coalition couldn’t do much to help, as most of the states were separated from each other, while the Blue Coalition states were all connected. This gave a huge advantage to the Blue Coalition states, and a huge disadvantage to the red one. Planes would bomb CSR military bases along the way as well. While there was no chance for them, they continued to fight ferociously, and the treatment of the POWs got worse in the CSR. The interrogation methods there were also brutal. One such method included grabbing a knife and slowly disconnecting a person's fingernail from the underneath of the fingernail. It was very brutal, and the troops were very scared of the interrogation methods of the CSR. Meanwhile, the Blue Coalition was also using guerrilla warfare against the CSR. A group known as the “Azul Rebels” in Medellin had been fighting and rebelling against the army of the CSR. Meanwhile in the north, a blockade similar to the one in the URC had been formed. This led to supplies being low, and there were mutinies in the army of the CSR.

The CSR was at its breaking point. There had been heavy advancements in the north, and new advances from the east. The people were rebelling, traitorous and guerrilla warfare were being used, there were mutinies in the army, and they were low on supplies due to the blockade. The leaders of the Blue Coalition had met in Caracas in order to decide what to do next, and decided to split the territories between the ECC, and also Maracaibo. Coretas would then occupy the coastal areas, and the border between them and Dorian would be heavily guarded. However, this was only a possibility, as the capture of Medellin was soon to come.

Coretas wrote:Blue Coalition Troops Encircle Medellin

After days of fighting, the Blue Coalition was able to finally encircle the city of Medellin. Even though southern CSR has yet to fall, taking Medellin would be a huge blow for the CSR. Also, the Azul Rebels have taken control of a few buildings and streets, so they are able to sneak in some troops and even vehicles into Medellin. The Blue Coalition has now started working on a plan to liberate Medellin from the CSR and finally defeat them.

Coretas wrote:The Plan to Liberate Medellin

Phase 1:

Snipers of the Blue Coalition forces right outside of Medellin shoot any CSR troops guarding an area of Medellin on the western side that resembles two branches. Troops outside of that area would March into the two branches after a short 2 day battle. They would occupy it and set up a boundary between Blue Coalition and CSR territory using tanks and armored vehicles. Troops in there would be setting up a temporary military base, and citizens would be evacuated until Medellin has been liberated from the CSR. While waiting for step two, Azul Rebels would bring supplies to the Blue Coalition troops secretly, while them and the Blue Coalition forces would also have minor skirmishes along the boundary between them and the CSR.

(Phase 2 coming soon)

September 6th-16th, 2021

Coretas wrote:The Plan to Liberate Medellin

Phase 2

On September 6th, Azul Rebels took control of streets connect the two branches to the main hideout of the Azul Rebels. This let the forces of the Blue Coalition move their troops and vehicles safely to the hideout during night. On the morning of September 7th, troops and Rebels would go and use traitorous warfare to try and gather more troops. Many troops of the CSR volunteered as they wanted to fight for their own country, and not some unofficial communist state. Vehicles would be stationed as if they were ready to attack on the hideout, and troops would start preparing for the final phase.

Phase 3

On the clear and bright morning of September 13th, secret members of the Azul Rebels create an uprising in the center of the city, which makes the CSR refocus its troops there. Because of this, the Blue forces can finally attack and invade the city from the inside. They take many unguarded buildings in the city and evacuate as many citizens as possible. The huge amounts of Azul Rebels uprising in the center of the city are able to kill many troops and take their weapons to help fight with the Blue Coalition. While that is happening, new and fresh Coretan troops arrive and push in from the side of the city and meet with the Azul Rebels creating and uprising. They both fight side by side, while the Blue forces are spreading around and going in different directions. Before the city is captured, Oscar Salvador is evacuated to the remaining part of the CSR down in the south, which is still experiencing slow fighting. Meanwhile, in the city, the remaining troops are killed on the night of September 16th, finally capturing the important city of Medellin. The president states that the capture of the city has been important for taking down the CSR, as that city was the most important city for the CSR, and now, it was captured by the Blue Coalition.

Fighting between the CSR and Blue Coalition forces would continue in southern CSR for about a month and a half

October 25th-27th, 2021

Coretas wrote:CSR Surrenders

After months of fighting between Blue Coalition forces and the CSR, the fighting has finally come to end. A few spies were able to retrieve the location of Oscar Salvador using drones, and a few days later, he was captured. He was brought back to Caracas on helicopter and was forced to surrender. This marked a huge point in the war, considering that the CSR was the strongest member in the Red Coalition.

Following the surrender of the CSR, three things happened:
I-Dorian has surrendered as well. The leader of Dorian figured that the unimportant break-away state was not strong enough to take on invasions from the Blue Coalition on all sides, since they were completely surrounded by Blue Coalition territory.
II-All Blue Coalition nations have merged into the Republic of Coretas. Alejandro Natero is still president, while the leaders of previous Blue Coalition nations have been put into important positions. This will make it easier to take on the remaining Red Coalition nations.
III-An invasion of the PRG has been conducted. A lot of victories were major, but it is currently going very slowly.

The surrendered of two Red Coalition members has brought Coretas one step closer to safety and stability, just like before the VCCM has become a thing.
