History of Katyusha

Katyusha has existed sense the birth of the world in the form of Phusdities, A religious group who worship the Goddess Phusdite (Goddess of winter) and her sister Oryenta (Goddess of Fall) One born from Marble (Phusdite) and the other born from a tree (Oryenta) Phusdite was born with an astounding power to calm those who lay there eyes upon her whist her sister Oryenta had the opposite affect sending those who look at her into a frenzy of adrenaline. This caused Oryenta to be killed whilst she was young using a sword created from the limbs of the tree she was born from. Phusdite, Enraged by her sister death, created a second sword made from Blue Iron which was cold to the touch, she gave it to her son Lycan who then used it to kill all of those who helped in Oryenta's death including those who even thought about it, those who where not killed transferred over to the following of Phusdite and where called Katyushan's, which in the Holy Tongue is Traitors. Soon after the Phusdites decided to stay high in the snowy mountains blocking off most contact with Katyushans and other people. Katyushans to honor there Phusdities brothers Named there Kingdome Katyusha, meaning Traitor, soon after they fled to higher ground. In the Dead Ridges, where Phusdite and her sister where born, they built a Temple which is known to be one of the biggest in the world. It surrounds the tree Oryenta was born from, A blue spruce tree, which is on the Phusdities Coat Of Arms flown each time lord Joseph D. Hillyard goes to the court meetings of the nine realms of Katyusha, him being the leader of the Phusdities at the moment.

The Capital

Where are the meetings you may ask? They are in The Citadel, a giant city/fortress built by the Katyushans soon after The Great Purge, It is at the river opening into the sea directly across from Streonia. The Citadel is the main trading hub of Katyusha and is known to be housed to many brewery's including those that sell Blackberry Mead home only to Katyusha. Blackberry mead is one of there main exports along with mass amounts of Fish, Iron, Crystals, Potatoes, Mushrooms, and herbs native to the lower Mountain regions of Katyusha sense the Phusdities prohibit any of them coming too far up the mountain seeing it as betraying Phusdite. The Citadel is also the most fortified place in Katyusha and is home to there large assortment of fishing vessels.

Lords Of Katyusha

You may be wondering along with Lord Joseph who else might be in this supposed court of the nine realms of Katyusha and what might the nine realms be? The nine realms are in order from powerfullest to least powerful biased on height of where they are and how far east they are, this is why Lord Joseph is the most powerful of the Lords. The Phusdites are the highest up whilst being nearly centered to Katyusha. Next in line would be the realm that has The Citadel, they are the farthest east whilst still being the middle highest of Katyusha, They are ruled by Lord Lycan The II who is the grandson of Lycan of the Phusdites. Next in line is Lord Blackstone of the second highest area of Katyusha, Blackstone ridge (opposite of The Dead Ridges) and closest to the northern river Border of Katyusha blocking the second lowest realm off from the norther river. The next realm would be the fourth lowest realm but the second farthest east just below Lord Blackstone's realm, that realm being ruled by Lord Hicket (the son of a rich mine owner). Next in line is the third highest realm and also the smallest realm which is ruled over by a shorter man named Boris Silver-hand, The strongest miner in the area which primarily mines silver. the last four realms are the lowest realms and nearly have no major effect on the rest of Katyusha except for the second smallest realm which blocks the most powerful realms off from the least powerful, it is ruled by Ezisk Hillwound who is known to have the most experienced fighters of Katyusha that where not trained by the Phusdities. The last three after that are ruled by Lord Heut, Lord Walkelin, and Lady Rekeld.

Military

Finally Katyushas Military excluding the Phusdities, well get to them in a minute, is known to have some of the best Knights in the world. They wear heavy armor and usually carry giant greatswords with them. Along with the Knights Katyusha has Men At Arms who have undergone different types of training with the Knights, most of them carry two handed weaponry along with a few who carry large shields and one handed weaponry (Usually those from Lord Ezisk) and are known to be giants compared to others. Next is the Calvary which is largely comprised of work horses such as Clydesdales which carry people usually who are untrained in normal combat, they sometimes carry short spears and medium sized shields but usually they go in with a short sword, Hammer, Or tools used in Mining or farming. There Ranged units are also not that special mostly being hunters but occasionally you will see a well trained archer with a heavy longbow. The Katyushan military also has larger swaths of moderately trained Mercenaries who are either from smaller parts of Katyusha or not Katyushan at all, they have very miss match kits and are easily told apart from native Katyushans. Finally the Katyushan Military has Support and Siege troops who are known to be very good at there jobs, whatever they may be from medical needs to fighting even building.

Now you may be wondering what about the Phusdities? The Phusdities are known to be there own military from how expertly trained they are, yet they are only 25% of the entire Katyushan Military. This is because the Phusdities are the war ending units, Katyushans love war and fighting sense it allows them to leave there normal lives full of mining and farming behind. The Phusdities only are given the go ahead when the Katyushans loose interest, or start loosing a war, against another nation. They are comprised of curved sabre wielding Knights who wear thick fur armor which outsides are dyed blue with silver stitching along with fur hats. They also sometimes wear silver wrist guards and shin guards. Supposedly the Phusditie Knights are the most expertly trained duelists in all of Thegye. Next the Phusdities have well trained men at arms who are trained in shield wall tactics, They dress in light chainmail armor with bits of blue dyed fur covering them along with steel helmets. The Phusdities have no Calvary to speak of sense they have nowhere to train them. Next is the small but expertly trained unit of heavy crossbowmen who wear furs and helmets that guard from arrows. Then the Mercenaries' that the Phusdities employ are always from the Phusdite realm of Katyusha being miners and others who are sworn in to protect the archers and sometimes help the Knights and Men At Arms. Finally there support and siege troops are mostly made up of clergy who wear blue vestments with gold and silver stitching and ornate artistry in them, they are seen in battle carrying large clubs with rounded metal points on them sense it is against there code to kill. But not to maim.

Katyushan population is 3,000,000. about 1million in the Citadel Realm. 500,000 in the Phusdite Realm. Whilst the rest are "evenly" spread through the other realms.
