How you can help build Niamark's (WA) fortress!

In your NationStates endeavours, you may have heard of something called the World Assembly (WA). You may have wondered, "What is that? Looks prestigious." In game mechanics, it is a body that acts as the equivalent of the UN, and is the source of NS worldwide mandates and legislation. For us players, it is a source of something else: power.

Interested? I thought so. Though regions are the foremost direct recipients of the power I speak of, it is ultimately the region members that benefit the most. You might be thinking now, "What's in it for me?". Two things: influence, and security.

Though the WA seems fair, it is actually quite the opposite. How so? Weight in numbers. The WA is heavily biased toward regions with a greater number of WA members. This in turn allows regions with a bigger WA base to better dictate and influence the rules that the rest of the NS world will follow. So basically, the better our WA stats are, the more control we attain.

Another thing to consider is the actual safety of our region, which can be threatened by means of abusing WA mechanics. I'm referring to "raiding", in which an enemy infiltrates a region with WA nations and endorse one of their own. If done successfully, they can take the region through powers entitled to the WA Delegate. Though this happens more often to founderless and smaller regions, precautions don't hurt. By endorsing each other, also known as endorsement swapping, we can create a barrier that helps prevent a successful raid on our region.

The takeaway here is to make sure that not only you join the WA and endorse your WA Delegate, but that you also endorse everyone around you. In doing so, you will be helping to build a regional fortress, one that will bring influence, security, and prosperity to you and your region.

If you haven't already, feel free to join our discord server! On there, we have a nifty tool that allows you to swap endorsements with fellow regionmates you haven't endorsed yet.

Thank you!
Hail Niamark!
