Tryzalore's Articles of Arbitration

Article I (General Rules)
General arbitration is held in the following:

    1. An arbitration is settled and its settlement is recognized when the necessary alternation to the map has been made.

    2. A nation-state no longer existing within the region shall be removed from the map and will have to begin anew in the region should it return.

Article II ("NPC" nations)
In claiming territory from an "NPC" nation (those nations with color and border but without a number and a capability to attack), a nation-state must...

    1. either be making its first claim or have territory bordering the mentioned "NPC" nation.

    2. state that their nation-state declares war on the mentioned "NPC" nation on the regional message board by describing it by its color and placement relative to their nation-state.

    3. have a population whose proportion in comparison to the mentioned "NPC" nation would likely result in a successful conquest (this will be determined by the population approximations that the map holder is given by the map generator [https://azgaar.github.io/Fantasy-Map-Generator/] ).

Article III (How to start a war)
In order to engage in war with another nation-state, a nation-state must...

    1. have territory bordering the mentioned nation-state by land or naval route (indicated by little dotted lines).

    2. state that their nation-state declares war on the mentioned nation-state on the regional message board.

Article IV (Nation-state vs. Nation-state)
The contest between two nation-states over disputed territory (section of land surrounding by black border lines) shall be resolved in the following manner:

    1. The nation with the highest level of Economic Efficiency (Economy Ranking) wins a war point.

    2. The nation with the highest Population wins a war point.

    3. The nation with the highest level of War Preparedness (Defense Forces ranking) wins a war point.

    4. The nation with the highest level of Scientific Advancement (Scientific Advancement ranking) wins a war point.

    5. The nation with the highest level of Patriotism (Patriotism ranking) wins a war point.

    5. Whosoever (either defender or offender) has three war points within a week's time wins the battle and the territory shall be their own.

    6. In the event in which the nations are tied in the total war point calculation, there will be a stalemate and the territory will remain disputed between the parties in question.

Article V (Official Alliances)
A group of nation-states that cluster together as an alliance will be granted territory on the map in due proportion to the said alliance as if it were acting as one nation under the following conditions:

    1. This "nation" shall have the average Economic Efficiency and average War Preparedness and average Scientific Advancement and average level of Patriotism and the sum total of the Populations of the mentioned nations that exist within the alliance.

    2. If a single nation within the alliance doesn't participate with the said alliance, then it shall unofficially cede from the alliance and the averages and the population of the "nation" will be adjusted accordingly.

    3. Proof of alliance for a specific invasion must be made via telegram to the founder or by factbook of nation-states involved (in the case of colonies or puppet states).

    4. The nation-states must go through the procedure in Article IV as a collective unit in order to wage war and each must also state that they act on behalf of their alliance on the regional message board.

    5. Alliances lose and gain as one nation: if the alliance loses a war, then all the nation-states involved lose all of their disputed territories.

    6. An alliance can consist of ten nations at most.

Article VI (Amending these articles)
The Articles of Arbitration may be amended if...

    1. a proposal is brought forth by a nation whose influence ranks at the level of "vassal" or higher.

    2. the mentioned proposal is approved by a majority vote on a pole that will be posted on the regional message board.

    3. the founder approves the proposal by amending the articles.

or if the founder feels like amending it for whatever reason.
