South Pacificans Minions of the World, Unite!

It is I, your benevolent deletocrat, Supreme Leader Admiral Delegate General Amerion, addressing you once again from the steps of Saint Stewie at the Delegate's Super-Secret Volcano Lair located somewhere in the South Pacific ocean.

I have but three important pieces of information to share with my dear minions on this fine November day.

Vote against Commend Twobagger

The Office of WA Legislation strongly encourages that all nations cast a vote AGAINST the current Security Council resolution, Commend Twobagger. As per the OWL's analysis:

『 Twobagger was a defender with the South Pacific's ally 10000 Islands before defecting at the beginning of this year to join the infamous raiding organization The Black Hawks. The proposal appears to be commending him for his contributions to defending, which the South Pacific would normally support. However, closer inspection reveals that the proposal's author is Jakker, a longtime commander in the Black Hawks. It is clear that Jakker chose to commend Twobagger specifically in order to anger 10000 Islands. South Pacificans should not tolerate such action against an ally of ours. The fact that out of all the notable defenders and former defenders in the world, Jakker chose to propose a commendation of the one who defected and switched sides to become a raider suggests that his motivation is merely to bring another World Assembly badge into the Black Hawks. But the proposal never even explicitly mentions that Twobagger is now a raider, leading uninformed voters to think that they are commending a military hero when in fact they are rewarding a military enemy. Furthermore, Twobagger's own actions as listed in the commendation proposal are not terribly special and do not meet the typical standard of the Security Council. The duplicitousness in this proposal is outstanding and it should be called out for what it is: an attempt at trolling our ally, the defender community, and the World Assembly. The Office strongly urges a vote against. 』

In addition, the Cabinet has issued this statement regarding the proposed commendation:

『 “Commend Twobagger” is a product of the worst habits of the Security Council and the Gameplay community in general. Let’s be clear: Twobagger betrayed 10000 Islands and joined their enemies in The Black Hawks. Regardless of the motive or anybody’s opinion on that, they are not an active defender and 10000 Islands does not approve of being used in such a manipulative way to commend them. The commendation purposefully misleads the rest of the game into thinking that Twobagger is a current wonderous defender, when in all actuality they are a turncoat raider. 』

Aumeltopia is a member of the South Pacific's Council on Regional Security and a former Secretary of OWL.

Aumeltopia wrote:Creating the dark theme is a pretty major achievement. Those here who are talking about how the commendation is "only about one archive" or whatever... the main thing being alluded to with all the light/dark references is the NS site theme that Northrop-Grumman created.

Neazland is a Citizen of the South Pacific.

Neazland wrote:Hard work put into nationstates and although the dark theme may be confusing (in my opinion) It adds a variety to NS and Northrop Grumman has been in NS for a very long time and has put hard work into that time. Helped with the record keeping. I believe that Northrop Grumman deserves a commendation.

Honeydewistania is a multi-time WA author and Citizen of the North Pacific. They posted the following on TNP's forums:

Honeydewistania wrote:I disagree strongly with the ‘we are commending them for this but we’re not saying it, tee hee!’ nonsense. The rules are the rules, even if they suck, but I’m still in favour as in spite of the dark theme not being included I think they are a worthy nominee

Eastern New England is the Foreign Affairs Secretary of 10000 Islands. On XKI's forums, they stated:

Eastern New England wrote:Even though the proposal reads weird out of context, creating Dark Theme along with keeping index(es) on nations' leaders and capital cities updated for the past one and a half decade is certainly commendable. I'm inclined to vote FOR.

From TSP Citizens

Doge Land is a Legislator in the South Pacific.

Doge Land wrote:Dark theme? DARK THEME? dark theme kills more per year than discord light theme More seriously, half the resolution is about an archive, which is nice, but I never use it, because when I go look at the information of nations that are relevant to me, I look at their nation page or a dispatch.

Volaworand is a Legislator and Local Councillor in the South Pacific.

Volaworand wrote:This commendation is pretty thin on details, and browsing the dispatches mentioned, while admirable, didn't appear worthy of a commendation.

From the World

Shy Guyia is a Tactical Officer in 10000 Islands's military. They argued on XKI's forums:

Shy Guyia wrote:I don't really think something can be considered well-written if I need to ask Makdon what something actually means. You can't type the words dark theme but this is a very poor way to dance around it. Secondly, the part about UNITE does not seem to be relevant at all? It is a roleplaying thing NG used only a few times in one roleplay and is hosted on a decently read dispatch. It is not one of the big indexes but just a good bit of worldbuilding, which isn't really the most commendable thing (especially since the rest of the proposal is not about worldbuilding at all).

Boston Castle is a GA author and Citizen of the North Pacific. On TNP's forums, they stated:

Boston Castle wrote:Perhaps I just don’t see the point in things like the archives and what not, but this nominee doesn’t seem all that commendable to me. Against.
