The History of The Inquiry & The Cipheron

Hello! This is my take on the history of the Inquiry, a short-lived successor region of the UFN. Its founder and leader Monstrosities made a history of the region, but it contained a few inaccuracies that bugged me a bit, so here's a better one. I'll bring up these inaccuracies when they appear.

Chapter I: Founding

The Inquiry was founded by Monstrosities on December 15th, 2018, due to the UFN's many dramas and incidents. (See my UFN history for more.) Monst had just exited the UFN following the Great Collapse of the region.

Meanwhile, The Free Enclave was created by Adylica as the official successor state, and the UFN was left abandoned. The Inquiry was designed to act as the region the UFN was supposed to be, and many old and new members joined it. Other nations from other regions joined, such as myself from Lardyland. Other notable members include Gemenon and Raynosordia. The region had about 15 members, embassy construction was underway, and things looked good.

Chapter II: Espionage

It was discovered by myself and Gemenon that several puppet spies from TFE were being sent to the region and were even joining the regional Discord server. Gemenon, in particular, was very upset, as he had been on the other side when he spied on Westunia. In addition, an agreement had been made with TFE that the two regions would start on a clean slate. Due to these actions, Gemenon decided to raid the UFN.

I didn't participate in the raid except by posting a few memes on the UFN's RMB. Gemenon acted entirely alone. The invasion was smooth, but Gemenon had achieved the attack by having multiple puppets with WA, unbeknownst to anyone. Soon, he was given a warning by the mods and temporarily stripped of WA Membership. Soon after, the invasion was reversed by the UEC.

Chapter III: Total War

This is the most significant debate over the region, that being who declared war first, The Inquiry or TFE. There are conflicting claims, even by Monstrosities. He claims that he declared war here but also claimed TFE started it on Lardyland's RMB. I recall TFE starting first as revenge for the UFN raid by Gemenon.

The region was raided, but the raid was reversed. After a second raid, Monstrosities and I agreed to found a new region because the raids were annoying, and we hoped to escape them with a new region. This region was The Cipheron. Most of The Inquiry left for The Cipheron around January 2nd, 2019, ending the two-week-old region.

Chapter IV: The Cipheron

A period emerged where The Inquiry was under TFE's control while The Cipheron remained. The Cipheron was originally going to be set up as a regular region. However, Monstrosities feared a TFE attack on The Cipheron and left for Lardyland. Afterwards, the region's activity decreased severely, so the region disbanded. It's now used by myself as a history hub.

During this time, TFE was suffering from inactivity.

Chapter V: Liberation

After a few months, around March 20th, 2019, an unknown nation, Libereatte, appeared and led a counter-raid on The Inquiry after observing TFE's steep decline in activity. This was a success, and Libereatte refounded the region.

Misconception #3

This is not true. For those who don't know, Chamberlain was the Delegate of the UFN after TFE dissolved. That's the first problem; he didn't even appear until after TFE fell, many months after The Inquiry was liberated.
Furthermore, Chamberlain was working for the UFN at this time. Finally, Chamberlain was banned from NS after sending vulgar telegrams to Pinochet executionists, making it impossible for a puppet of his to exist after his banning (unless the mods were sloppy, but still).

TLDR: Libereatte was not Chamberlain. We don't know who he was, but I suspect Raynosordia, although that's just a suspicion.

Chapter VI: Aftermath

Eventually, Libereatte CTEd and The Inquiry was dead forever. But what transpired to all the players?

Monst served in Lardyland for the rest of his time on NS, mainly as various low-level officers such as the Minister of Media and Embassy Officer. He eventually left NS.

I continue to write regions' histories.

Gemenon's temp ban was lifted, although he never got involved with much of anything after leaving The Cipheron.

Raynosordia also didn't do anything after leaving The Cipheron.

TFE didn't respond to The Inquiry's liberation besides being mad/butthurt. TFE eventually disbanded, and its members went back to the UFN. Most notably, Sir wallworth, a TFE resident, began entering regional affairs as Minister of the Interiors of the UFN. (See UFN history for more)

Lastly, I decided to refound The Cipheron into The New Cipheron on July 18th, 2021, because I thought that was a better name. Other than the name, nothing else changed.
