An Old Tale - Die Legende der Azurblauen Rozen

Twin daughters are playing with dolls together.
They laughed and smiled like any ordinary pair of sisters.
The family thought the twins were so loving, so sweet, so innocent.
The sisters were born with a unique gift.

The gift only started showing symptoms on their 6th birthday.
The day they turned six, both daughters came down with a terrible sickness.
The family had no idea what was happening or what to do.
Nothing seemed to ease the twins' suffering.

Over the course of the year, the daughters were slowly recovering.
However, their physical appearance changed.
The younger twin's left eye had turned a deep blue.
The older twin's right eye had turned the same shade of blue.
The family was concerned, but life continued normally.

On the morning of their 7th birthday, the twins awoke with screams.
The younger twin was covering her left eye.
The older twin was covering her right eye.
The parents entered the room, scared for their daughters' health.

The two daughters cried and held out their arms to hug their parents.
The mother and the father were shocked to see what had happened.
The younger twin's left eye was covered by a beautiful azure rose.
The older twin's right eye was covered by the same beautiful azure rose.

The parents hurried over to comfort the twins.
They wrapped their arms around them, holding them closely.
The two daughters cried into their parents' arms.
They wept, whimpered, and sobbed for hours, crying themselves to sleep.

The parents examined the two sisters closely, both afraid and confused.
Why did their daughters suffer so much? What happened to their eyes?
Why did an azure rose bloom out of their eyes?
What would happen if the public saw them in this condition?

The mother and the father didn't have long to think about their questions.
The next morning, the twins awoke to heat and smoke.
The moment their eyes opened, all they could see was an azure firestorm.
Scared and panicky, the girls slowly made their way out of the house.

Somehow, the flames didn't hurt them.
However, the sisters were too scared to notice.
Their only thought was that they were lucky to make it out.
They looked around, but couldn't find their parents.

The sisters hugged each other and dropped to their knees.
They stared deeply into the bright azure flames.
Realizing what must've happened to their parents, they wailed.

After shedding so many tears, the twins let go of each other.
They stared at one another, trying to piece together what caused this.
The younger twin looked into her sister's right eye.
The older twin looked into her sister's left eye.
They examined the azure roses intensely.

They both lifted a hand to feel each other's flower.
They both stopped midway and stared at their hands.
They both gasped, startled to see the azure flames licking their fingers.
Even more shocking was the revelation that there was no pain.
