History of Owl Archipelago

Introduction
Hello, there! I'm Eduardo de Terra Nova, king of Owl Archipelago. I'm here to teach you all about the history of this country, from the discovery of this land, the settlement of it by the Portuguese, the many wars we had, what we as a people had to endure until the current days. Sit down and prepare to embark on a journey through the History of Owl Archipelago.

The arrival of the Norse
Around the 10th century, Norse explorers and settlers arrive here. They call it Vinland and settled here. For unknown reasons they did not stay here for long and ended up leaving and returning to their homeland. After this, nobody in Europe was aware of the existence of this land, which would only be rediscovered around 500 years later. While they lived here, the Norse interacted with the native Beothuk. Everything indicates they traded and were peaceful among each other, there seems to be no signs of any aggression between the Norse and the natives.

The rediscovery by the Portuguese
In 1473, the Portuguese explorer Joćo Vaz Corte-Real ends up finding this land again, he landed in the province of Terra Nova. He returned to Portugal with the news of his discovery.
