Rules for the Court

This list of Rules is to establish the rules of which all Magistrates are to be subjected to. This is to advoid any abuses or coups using court power as seen previously in TDC. It must be noted that the judiciary and the court are seperate entities and they should only interfere in the other should it be absolutely necessary. Whilst this is a short list of rules for now it is my intention that future Magistrates may add to this list however only with imperial assent. The groundwork has been laid and now it is up to the future Magistrates to see to its implementation and expansion.

  • The Magistrates must not be a member of a political party or renounce prior parties for the duration of the duty.

  • The Magistrates may only have 3 vetoes each a month or a maximum of 10 between them all which are to be distributed evenly. This will reset every month.

  • The Magistrates must always give justification for their veto to the senate and a court veto must pass through the chief magistrate.

  • The Magistrates should they be found to be using puppets in TDC or fail to follow these rules maybe immediately stripped of their posting by the Emperor or a 2/3 majority in the Senate.

  • Magistrates cannot run for senate aswell as the magistrate position.

  • Magistrates are not exempt or above the law. They are merely enforcers of it.

  • Any abuses of court power is intellerable and will result in immediate discharge from the court followed by an inquiriy for further punishment.

  • A Chief Magistrate is also to take on the duties of a magistrate whilst also being able to block a court veto however if they are found to be working with the senate by the other court members they maybe immediately removed from their position by the Emperor.

  • The Emperor is the Court and so Magistrates must remain loyal to the Emperors word. Failure to do so can result in the removal of the magistrate role.

  • Magistrates should contemplate use of the slammer for more minor offences and act on their own judgement should they feel leniency be necessary.

This will hopefully ensure a more stable court and dynamic between the Court, the People, the Senate and the Emperor moving forward.

Long live the Commonwealth and the Emperor
