• HISTORY: In 1609, the Queendom of Scania(Modern day Sweden) and the Queendom of Fosna(Modern day Norway) were united by the Treaty of Gothenburg, which also marks the start of the Leipidic Unity ideology. The new empire that arose from this treaty was called the United Thrones of Scania. At the near end of the century, in 1685, the Queendom of Denmark joined the United Thrones through intermarriage between the Queen of Fosna and the Queen of Denmark. It was then that the Imperial Court was officially founded, and the empire's name was changed to The United Thrones of Scania and Denmark. In 1756, the United Thrones invaded the island of Norden(Modern day Iceland), and after several years of extreme violence, the island succumbed to the larger Imperial forces. Norden was incorporated into the United Thrones, however was excluded from the Imperial Court. In the decades leading up to the mid-1900s, the United Thrones, and its nearby rival, the Kingdom of Lumimaa(Modern day Finland and Estonia), better known as Austerland, built up forces on their northern border, and most notably in the Baltic Sea. It was around this time that the United Thrones had begun to expand its influence across the oceans into various nooks and crannies around the world. This resulted in Scanian Africa and Scanian Indochina, which remain as part of the United Thrones to this day.

In 1906, Scania declared war on Austerland after accusing its rival of attacking a military base on the then-occupied Aland Island. What resulted was a 12-year lond war between Scania and Austerland, which saw massive casualties and the first deployment of modern Battleships in a war. This was shortly followed by the outbreak of World War I. Austerland aligned itself with the Central Powers while the United Thrones aligned itself with the Entente. At the end of the War, which ended in the North in 1917 with the fall of Helsinki to Scanian forces, Austerland was formally annexed by the United Thrones. Due to the massive scale of the First World War, Scania had then begun to maintain a rather formidable navy, albeit nowhere near the scale of the Royal Navy or French Navy.

In 1939, Austerland was added to the the Imperial Court to quell the unrest that had come with full occupation by the United Thrones. This was shortly followed by the outbreak of the Second World War, which marked Scania's involvement. At the time, Scania only had a single light Aircraft Carrier, three Pre-Dreadnought Battleships, four Post-War Battleships from WWI, and several cruisers and destroyers. Denmark was one of the nations initially hit with invasion, however after the fall of Denmark, Scania managed to keep the Germans at bay through a rather colossal military effort by the United Thrones. The United Thrones, alongside the Allies, committed to several large aerial campaigns against the Germans. In 1943, the launch of the HIMNS Skaneland, HIMNS Erica III, and HIMNS Heidi II were post-poned due to fears of German U-Boats. In 1945, with the fall of Berlin, Denmark was reunited with Scania, however found itself a victim of the atrocities committed by the Nazis in during the war. This was honored by the Holocaust Memorial Statue in Oslo, which honored the 400,000 Danes killed in the Holocaust. In 1948, America launched the Marshall Plan to assist European Countries in recovery from the Second World War. Between 1948 and 1950, the United Thrones received over 477 million USD from the United States, with 70% of it going to reconstruction and 30% of it being spent on various other services.

By 1950, the Scanian Navy maintained two carriers(Skaneland-class), two Battleships(Silver-class), Thirteen Cruisers(Seven Duchy-class, Six Tre Kronor-class), Twenty-Two Destroyers(Fourteen Victory-class, Six Warrior-class, Two Halland-class), Eight Frigates(Memory-class), and Twenty-Four Submarines(Thirteen Neptun-class, Eleven Hajen-class). The Naval Aviation Arm operated around 200 carrier-borne aircraft which operated from its two carriers. The Imperial Army was primarily geared towards defense from the East in Austerland, with few Garrisons in Scania and Iceland. Garrisons also operate in Scanian Indochina and Africa.

History (Optional, but Smiled Upon):

Many years ago, ships sailed south from England, to find new lands to expand in. They eventually shipwrecked on the coasts of Antarctica, and were stranded with no food, and not enough water. They burned the the boat they came in on for warmth, as the more faithful among them prayed to the Lord for salvation. He led them to the place they now call Port Gloria, where they found plenty of fish and seals. They survived this way for many generations, living in Igloos and working the land as hard as they could, before slowly turning to mining as the years went on. Along the way, many siberian ships seemed to crash, and integrated into the populous, helping to develop the unique religion and language existing there today. Eventually, they became a part of the Overlordian dominion when an expeditionary force discovered them, and they trade minerals for food and other resources. They are not a powerful nation, nor one that is particularly well known, but they survive and that is what matters to them.
