First 2020 Presidential Polls

Matteo Zuccarelli, who has been President of Varavano since 2010, is in the final months of his 2nd 5 year term as President of Varavano. His political party, the Democratic Socialist Party (DSP), have nominated the famous Varavanian environmental activist Julia Vernatti as their candidate for the 2020 elections. The rival party of the DSP, The Peoples Party (TPP), has nominated the charismatic Marcus Foligno. The Center-Left Democrats (CLD) have nominated the rookie Congressman, Sebastian Conti. Finally, The Progressive Coalition (TPC) has nominated their party leader, Angela Magda. The first polls have been conducted.

Julia Vernatti (DSP) - 38%
Marcus Foligno (TPP) - 25%
Sebastian Conti (CLD) - 20%
Angela Magda (TPC) - 17%

The first Presidential debate is set for December 1, 2019. The DSP are expected to maintain their majority in Congress but the sudden rise of TPC has left many to wonder if there will be a changing of the old guard.
