New News:

This is the first ever issue of the United Christian Empires of the West times, the newspaper giving you all the details from the region covering the duration of the past week. You will find a factbook with every issue linked in it pinned to the region’s homepage as well as to the United Christian Empires of the East’s homepage! These newspapers will summarize the region-wide events of the past week as well as some of the events of the member-nations! If any of you write newspapers for your own countries I will also list them in the factbook, unless you tell me otherwise. If any of you want to be columnists or writers for specific sections of the news paper, like opinion sections, polls, politics or something else you have in mind please contact me (Dominant Oppressors). Whilst this newspaper is directed mainly at the member-nations of the region, it is also designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone else as well!

Taxation Legislation:

A proposal for a new Regional Law has been officially brought to the polls! The proposed law applies to all member-nations with non-Christian citizens and stems from a Carnatian national law which sates that non-Christian citizens of Blue carnation must pay higher taxes. This idea is similar to that of the Ottoman Empire, however in their case the law extended beyond taxation and was centered around non-Muslims instead of non-Christians. As it stands, the law is at 3 votes ‘for’ and 1 vote ‘against’. The poll has some time left before closing.

Official Constitution To Be Made:

Here in the United Christian Empires of the West, we have several branches of government and a certain way of doing things, most of which is spread across several documents, while we intend to keep these documents we also feel we need to codify it in a singular document, one which is perhaps less detailed but covers all of our governmental ways, at least in broad strokes. This is a long-term project but one we feel will be for the betterment of the region at large! We are currently looking into getting more people involved in the writing of it, so far it is myself and Falmards, if you are interested in helping please contact me or leave it in the RMB!

Truly United?:

Falmards has proposed a re-definition of ‘member-state of the United Christian Empires of the West’. He proposes the region transition into a system similar to that of the United Kingdom of Great Britain And Northern Ireland and of the less ‘on-the-nose’ example of the United States of America, which is similar if you really think about it, but I won’t get into that here. By this we mean to say that the region is the official country and the member-nations are just ‘sub-countries’ inside it, so-to-speak. The region-wide vote will likely occur following the current vote (see article 2 above).

1.5 New Members:

This week saw the arrival of Palins to our region as well as the return of Order of the black cross, who had previously been a member-nation but had left on good terms and has now returned to the region, this sees our region increase by one sixth this week alone! We here at the U.C.E.O.T.W. Times wish you both a warm welcome!

The Council Of 3 And Me:

A new branch of regional government was introduced earlier this week, the Ruling Triumvirate, this council is designed to make decisions on matters deemed not worthy of a poll or which must remain mostly secret until things become more final. The current Triumvirs are Dominant Oppressors, Falmards and Xukong. More information about the triumvirate can be found in the triumvirate dispatch pinned to the regional homepage. Also found there is our newly introduced medal and award system, designed to reward exceptional services done for our glorious region!

A Theocracy Divided!:

During the chaos that ensued following the events of N-Day 4 an evil once thought dead returned in the Theocracy of Xukong to wage war against them once again. For those of you who are unaware, prior to the First Civil War, Xukong was a Sultanate run by Devil-worshipers, the regime was defeated in the war and replaced by the Theocracy we know today. However shortly after the war the Sultanate revealed themselves to be alive and declared war against the rest of Xukong. With the aid of foreign troops from Falmards and Dominant Oppressors, as well as from a native tribe to Xukong, the Zinpachea, the Sultanate was vanquished! The native people were offered a section of land from Xukong to call their own, which is now the nation known as Zinpachea. Relations were also restored with the ancestors of Xukong, Kharkiva. However all was not well in Xukong, a hurricane struck and emergency evacuations were forced to occur, luckily few casualties have been reported and hurricane Kraken has subsided.

RoA Membership:

In our last news story of the week, we are happy to announce our membership into the Assembly of Regions! We are looking forward to having our region’s voice heard in the assembly and weighing in on important descisions! Our representative in the RoA is Falmards, who we are sure will do an excellent job representing the region’s opinions and needs!

Rebranding:

This week the United Christian Empires of the West’s World Factbook Entry was updated and modernized by our Imperial Councillor of International Diplomacy, Blue carnation. It now includes more inviting text, a monthly Bible quote, the latest announcements as well as links to the Bible, the newspaper and soon, also our regional constitution (in the process of being written)! We have also overhauled the majority of the names of our regional ranking/promotion system to make them come in line with our other aspects and make them more thematically fitting to our region as a whole.

New Faces In Town:

This week our region welcomed many new nations into our coalition including Greater Hah Slaptings, Wilmingstead and Strachantopia. We wish to extend a warm welcome to all of you! We also saw the arrival of Port jackson city, a puppet nation of Christian australia as part of our agreement with Christianity Union‘s first amendment. The amendment states that both regions will send a puppet-nation with dual-citizenship to the other region as an ambassador. Our region sent Carnatia, the puppet nation of Blue carnation as our agent of diplomacy in C.U..

Last Week In The Polls:

The proposal for the latest regional law regarding increased taxed for non-Christian citizens (covered in more detail in the previous issue) has been successfully passed 8 votes to 2 votes. We have now moved to the “Truly United?” vote (also covered last issue) which is currently losing 4 to 2. The major campaign against it is that it “over complicated the region too much”. The next vote has been decided by the Imperator himself and is being revealed exclusively here first! Here is his official statement regarding the next vote: “In light of recent events, I decided it was high time we chose an Imperial Councillor of Internal Affairs. I offered the position to Blue carnation first due to her work on the UFE and she suggested seeing if anyone else wanted it before taking it herself. So, I asked in the RMB and got interest from our Imperial Grand Councillor, Falmards. I was then faced with a tough choice and decided to leave it up to a public vote! The candidates will be Falmards and Blue carnation. Other interested nations have till the closure of the current poll to nominate themselves in the RMB or via private telegram to me personally and a vote will be held shortly after!”.

More War:

After the defeat of the Emirate in the second Xukongian Civil War last week, a new enemy has arisen, a group of Islamic Extremists. At first they simply declared war on Xukong but then began attacking neighboring Dominant Oppressors as well! Foreign troops from Dominant Oppressors, Falmards and Blue carnation were sent in to help with the fighting in both nations and troops from Strachantopia were also later dispatched to help our cause. After vicious fighting in the Dominant Oppressorian city of ‘Lara Spe’, the extremist forces were pushed back and a counter-push was held. Meanwhile the main Xukongian defense force is making strides of their own and the war looks like it will soon come to an end, with a victory from our side after a sub-group of the extremists defected to our cause.

Imperator’s Birthday And Other Holidays:

In our last story of the week, we wish to acknowledge the birthday of our Imperator, The Holy Emperor of Dominant Oppressors last Tuesday! We have also decided that we will indeed decorate the region for Halloween whilst also warning of its evils. Decoration work will begin shortly!

Raising The Flag Anew:

This week, in accordance with the decision made last week and based on the article linked in our World Factbook entry, our regional flag has been temporary decorated in ‘haloween-style’ for the month of October. The flag should fly over our region until shortly after the 31st of October, when it will be again replaced by our proper, ordinary flag.

Another One Joins The Region:

This week we welcome Cedar springs as the newest member of our region! The founder of the region, Christian Nations Alliance, has decided to join the United Christian Empires of the West. We thank him for choosing to join us and hope he enjoy his time in our glorious region! That brings out region to a total of 11 main account nations!

The Internal Affairs Affair:

This week the elections for our regional Imperial Councillor of Internal Affairs were held, with the candidates being Falmards and Blue carnation. The election was won by Blue carnation, with the majority of the vote going to her! Congratulations Blue carnation! Some trouble arose during the election when mysterious nations joined the region and started flooding the polls, these were the nations Temporary account to Temporary account 8, the crisis was quickly resolved when emergency measures were taken, their votes were nullified for infringement of regional laws (secondary accounts may not vote) and to prevent more sabotage, new accounts were temporarily not allowed to vote, that ban has since been removed once again. The accounts were then banned and the threat didn’t return.

This Constitutes A Constitution:

Welcome to this special edition of the U.C.E.O.T.W. Times! We would like to start by apologizing for the lack of issues recently, the region has experienced a few crisis situations and so normality has been put on hold, but now we are back and better than ever with this fabulous election season!

In this issue we will be looking at the prelude to the first U.C.E.O.T.W. elections since the establishment of our official Constitution, prior to its writing we have had one set of such elections. Tomorrow, Monday the 4th of November, year of our Lord, 2019, we will have our Imperial Grand Councillor elections which will close on Thursday with the elections for our regional WA Delegate. The changes will come into affect on Saturday, with the swearing in if the new Triumvirate (the second of its kind) occurring on Sunday! It is shaping up to be an exciting election period indeed!

Meet the candidates:

- Falmards is the current I.G.C. and WA Delegate (Via the Holy Imperial Grand Duchy of Boylay donitratons) but also Imperial Councillor of Warfare and Defence. He is the leader of the regional Imperialist Party and is currently the favorite for I.G.C. according to our polling, but it is still anyone’s election! Whilst he has refused to make an exclusive comment for our newspaper he has made an official public campaign statement: “I will be running for both re-election and i will choose the best Triumvir Postea as possible if i win both” (credit to our on-site reporter, Blue carnation). In the same interview, Falmards made reference to some of his potential policies for his potential next term: “I think while things could have gone better they didnt go bad. We must stand up for ourselves and bow to nobody. If someone betrays there word we mustnt stand for it. They must face pur furry or we must at least expell them so they can do less harm. We must not allow second chances for major offenses” (Responding to being asked about the recent regional crisis).

-Blue carnation, our I.C. of International Diplomacy and also recently elected I.C. of Internal Affairs is the second candidate for I.G.C. and W.A. Delegate. Despite not being an official member of the Triumvirate at present, due to her position as I.C. of Diplomacy and Internal Affairs, she has been present at several important regional governance meetings. She is the leader of the Diplomatic-Conservative Party and is second for I.G.C. according to current polls, however as previously stated, it’s anyone’s title to take! She has shown that she doesn’t need to serve as I.G.C. or Delegate however will gladly do so if the people of region so desire, as shown in her exclusive comment to us: “I've chosen to continue to serve the people in my current position as I.C. While I may choose to pursue the IGC office down the road, I don't believe now is the right time.”.

-Xukong is the third member of the first Triumvirate serving as Triumvir Postea as appointed by Falmards. Aside from this he serves his region as Imperial Councillor of Economics. He is the leader and founder of the Phoenix Party and we can take from that and his position as I.C. of Finance that his policies, if elected, will very likely stand to help the workers and, of course, the regional economy. He will be running for both I.G.C. and W.A. Delegate and according to our polling, he is a likely first for the Delegacy,
however polls may not reflect the actual outcome, we will have to wait and see!

-New jewlan is the I.C. of religion and the recently appointed I.C. of History and is a member of the Democratic-Conservative Party. He is the fourth candidate running for I.G.C. and W.A. Delegate. He was our region’s first W.A. Delegate and is likely looking to re-claim that title! He has yet to make any form of campaign promise and/or statement , we will keep you all informed as to if and when he does!

-Dominant Oppressors, our regional Imperator and founder is running for W.A. Delegate as well. He has released an exclusive statement to us that sums up his campaign very well: “As Imperator, I am already guaranteed a spot in the Triumvirate and I have already had my time with the delegacy, whilst I will be on the ballad, I encourage you to vote for another candidate this election, thank you!”

Comments and Opinions:

-Strachantopia will not be contesting either of our elections this term as he is not a WA member and not an Imperial Councillor, however word on the street is he may have an appointment to Assistant-I.C. of Religion in the near future and would therefore be able to contest the next I.G.C. election, regardless, he has made this statement regarding the elections: “I think Falmards will win the IGC by a nose, due perhaps to his stronger support among the poor shepherds of New Strachantopolis, who have been campaigning furiously for him with the slogan: Falmards for Farm Lads!!!!
Blue Carnation will come in a close second, but as her supporters are so rational there will be very few chants of "Not my IGC!" wafting upon the breeze.
The battle for WA delegate will be fierce, with Xukong eking out a victory due to his superior international connections and stylish hair, which even their most hardened enemies will admit cause a stir of admiration during international proceedings.
All in all, the elections will be models of UCEW efficiency and decency, and rousing huzzahs will float from end to end of the great region to reward the successful public servants.”

Christian confederation, a close and long-time ally of our region, president of The Moderate Alliance has kindly given this statement on the electoral situation: “I don't know all the candidates but the people of the region have been good to me so I assume they are also good people.”

New dilli, the Home Affairs Minister of Bharat, a sponsor of this newspaper and an over-all ally of our region, has this to say about the matter: "If you take my opinion, I think falmands will win this elections as he got that potential.
He is not that good with campaigns but I think he will be a good WAD.

Remember, Remember, We Got A New Member:
Our region welcomes our newest member Arachkya, who joined us this week! He is the newest member-nation and so, on behalf of this newspaper and the region as a whole, welcome! Arachkya has kindly allowed us to share his story, he was born into a family of Wiccans (a pagan religion), his mother was the high priestess of their coven. He was raised in this religion and recently found out that he was meant to be a girl in order to take over as High Priestess from his mother. This is because that religion essentially worships women as goddesses and downgrades men(I am, of course, simplifying). He then made the extremely hard descision to leave that religion behind him and find the right path. He was today officially Baptized into the Catholic faith. We pray his story is an example to other who are in religions they wish for a way out of, and that they find God’s love! In addition to this, we would also like to welcome Vinaburg to our region, who joined whilst I was writing this issue of the newspaper, welcome Vinaburg! We hope you enjoy your time here!

The Stories We Could Tell:
A new Imperial Council was created this week, the Imperial Council of Narrative. The Councilship has been awarded to Xukong, as it was created to officially put a title to his work for the plot-lines and in-universe events he creates for the region’s members to enjoy and participate in. Directly following this, he created an antagonist nation for our region, Sellukistan. We are looking forward to his development of the nation!

I’ll Give You Two Grand:
Following the recent elections, Falmards has been elected Imperial Grand Councillor once again! It is his second term in a row and he is so far the only nation to hold the title in the title’s history. His victory was a landslide with most other candidates getting few votes. His term lasts for 3 months, placing the next election in February 2020! He will be allowed to once again contest that election, if he wishes to, when the time comes!

World Assembly Ready:
The other winner of the elections was candidate and now W.A. Delegate, Blue carnation who has replaced Boylay donitratons (a nation administered by Falmards) as our regional W.A.D. The election was tie between the candidates Blue carnation and Falmards each having three votes to their name. During the first day of voting it seems Falmards was going to take the victory once again with little competition, that is until Blue carnation rapidly gained enough votes to tie with Falmards and a fierce campaign ensued. By the end of the voting period both nations were locked in a stalemate tie and it was up to our Imperator, Dominant Oppressors to uses his powers as Imperator to break the tie. After a long period of deliberation, he decided to rule in favor of Blue carnation. He gave the following statement upon doing so: “ This is going to be a hard decision... ok, so, as you know Falmards is working on his anti-abortion proposal, but I think non-WADs can submit proposals as well, also he has previously expressed interest in wanting his WA free for other things, as I.C. of War and Defence, that is a fair point, he is also already on the Triumvirate, so, because of these factors, I will go in favor of Blue carnation, our new WAD! Congratulations!”.

Mark Antony, Octavian and Lepidus...Oops Wrong Second Triumvirate!:
On Sunday, 10th November 2019 AD, the new regional governmental body will be sworn in. This will be the second triumvirate of the United Christian Empires of the West. This triumvirate will consist of Dominant Oppressors, serving as Imperator, Falmards, serving as Imperial Grand Councillor and Blue carnation, serving as World Assembly Delegate. We are excited to see what this latest iteration if the Triumvirate has in store for the region!

The Way Of The Monarch:
With the recent passing of Xukong’s leader, Andreas O’Hames, has unfortunately passed away after a reign of 160 years due to heart cancer. He has been replaced by Joshua Zinskiv who has declared Xukong a monarchy with himself as king, removing the previous system of ‘Theocracy’. He has however stated that he intends to make another transition (to a theocratic monarchy) in the near future. This has been a very controversial decision and we will keep you updated in any developments that arose from the situation! In the meantime however, we say, may the new Xukongian King Joshua’s reign be long!

When In Doubt, Blockade!:
After several anti-christian statements and policies considered evil by many in the international community were released by the Emirate of Sellukistan, the nations of Dominant Oppressors and Xukong have placed heavy embargos on the nation and have gone as far as to blockade their major ports until the situation is resolved, further military support has also been promised by the Disputed Territories of Arachkya, should it be needed. The situation escalated after Xukongian spies in Sellukistan reported that the nation has several illegal nuclear silos, Dominant Oppressors has threatened further military intervention unless they disarm themselves immediately, we will keep you updated as the situation develops!

Competitive Spirt:
Earlier this week, Imperator Dominant Oppressors announced a world-wide contest! Anyone who wants to participate, may do so! The competition is to design a recruitment poster for the United Christian Empires of the West. The contest will be judged by Dominant Oppressors and the potential prizes include trading cards and in-game, regional, dispatch-based medals. The competition receives entries until the 30th November at midnight C.E.T., entries may be submitted in the form of a dispatch, Making sure to include the image and mentioning Dominant Oppressors, so that he will see the dispatch. First question, what do you think of the state of the region?

Hm.. A very good question. Overall the region is doing well and seems to be thriving. We've experienced a population surge through immigration. The political Triumvirate/Promotional system has proven to be stable. Many thanks go to the nations of UCEOTW who participate in the RP every week. One of the things that makes our region unique is our imperialist drive, our conservative political outlook, and our ecumenical approach to our Christian faith. While this combination isn't everyone's cup of tea, it has made our region a very unique one. I do feel that we should be a little more selective about choosing which embassies to hold. My hope for our community is to avoid the extremes. It would be wise for us to avoid agreements or embassies with fascist regions for example as this would be too risky for us. In a couple weeks I will step down as I.C. of International Diplomacy so that some of our newer members can try their hand at diplomacy in regions abroad. I'll stay on the Triumvirate and keep my position as I.C. of Internal Affairs though. I see a very bright future for UCEOTW!

The New And The Returned:
This week our region saw the arrival of Cellaronia into our region, the newest member of the United Christian Empires of the West. Welcome Cellaronia! This week also saw the return of a ‘lost’ member who our records marked as ‘mysteriously disappeared’, this nation was Cedar springs, who has since returned as New-harmony. He has taken back all his old titles and roles and is once again a very active member of our region, who we are very happy to have back. On behalf of this newspaper and the region as a whole, Welcome back!

War And Peace:
WAR! The tensions with Sellukistan escalate as war is officially declared on all nations of the United Christian Empires of the West. Nations, Xukong, Falmards, Arachkya, Kharkiva, Dominant Oppressors, New-harmony, Blue carnation and Glorious Ascension are quick to return the declaration. Sellukistani troops swiftly invade Xukong and fighting ensues with troops form many nations form all across the United Empires joining in the battles. The fighting continued for several days and toady Sellukistan has asked for a capitulation agreement to be signed, giving this statement on the world stage, "Your guerilla warfare has stalled; however, it has created another stalemate and we both know that neither of us will win.....which is why I am asking for a white peace. My goal is to Islamify your region, but it will take longer than I thought plus the fact that your heavenly spirits are unbreakable! I think it's best to return to a state-before-war situation yes??". Holy Emperor Adam J. Vader of Dominant Oppressors and Glorious Ascension has responded by offering to accept their surrender on the condition that they surrender 50km of land all around their border to be held and managed as an occupied zone by the other participant nations of the war. Support for this has been shown by the governments of New-harmony and Arachkya respectively, however Prince Fred II of Falmards has expressed his dislike for the agreement and his wish for the war to continue on and his nation’s intent to continue fighting. Sellukistan has yet to respond and the situation is constantly evolving.

The Diplomacy Discussion:

During an exclusive interview with our newspaper, Blue carnation (the current WA Delegate and Imperial Councillor of both International Diplomacy and Internal Affairs) revealed that she intended to step down within a few weeks. This sparked an issue of an, up until now unknown, inconsistency between the official constitution and the official document about the councils. The councils document states that Imperial Councillors may resign as they like but the constitution makes no mention of resignations. This brought the legality of resignation from a Council-ship into serious question. The result has been that our Imperial Grand Councillor, Falmards has drafted an amendment to the constitution to include a section about resignations and a triumvirate vote to decide wether or not to accept them. The amendment is awaiting approval by a majority ‘for’ vote from the regional triumvirate. Should Blue carnation indeed step down in order to give other member-nations a chance, the most likely candidates for the role are New-harmony (the current Assistant-I.C. of that Council) and Xukong (I.C. of Economics and Narrative and ex-Triumvir Postea).

A Regimented Regime:

Hello, dear Reader! Happy Easter Sunday! As you may be aware, this newspaper hasn't published an issue in quite some time. The region has gone through somewhat of a rough patch recently with lots of internal issues that needed to be resolved before returning to print. We have since had a return to form and are back in action! So, with that out of the way, I wish to thank you all for bearing with us over this long period and I wish you all a blessed and joyous Easter Sunday and to those of you who do not celebrate, I wish a very happy weekend!

Twice The Agreements, Double The Peace:
This week saw the United Christian Empires of the West and its dependencies sign two separate alliances with different regions. At the start of the week, we entered into a defense alliance with the good people of the New Reich of Bunicken. The agreement was signed between the Holy Christian Empire of Dominant Oppressors, the Holy Christian Dominion of Xukong (representing the U.C.E.O.T.W.) and the Holy Empire of Ladymorrighan (representing the New Reich of Bunicken). We once again wish to offer our thanks to the leadership of the New Reich of Bunicken and especially Ladymorrighan for entering into this alliance with us. In the second half of the week, we signed a Non-aggression pact with the Confederation of Corrupt Dictators. Negotiations were first opened between Dominant Oppressors and ShrewLlamaLand but the treaty was signed between Dominant Oppressors and Xukong of the U.C.E.O.T.W. and Depackya and Valerox of the C.C.D. The U.C.E.O.T.W. also wishes to formally thank the members of the Imperial Council of the Confederation of Corrupt Dictators once again for entering into this agreement with us. We sincerely hope that both these agreements are the beginnings of longstanding friendships between our region and theirs and wish to thank one more time everyone involved in their creations. Both agreements can be founded in the military dispatch pinned in the U.C.E.O.T.W.

Close Encounters Of The Raider Kind:
Earlier this week, a very strange happening occurred. Five nations moved into our region mysteriously, all bearing variations of the flag of The North Pacific. These nations were: Wand, 90050, RSCA Privateer 38, Huks gares 5 and Hufflepuff. They arrived from Birb, a staging ground for The North Pacific Army, and then endorsed our regional founder, Dominant Oppressors despite Xukong being the present and rightful World Assembly Delegate of the United Christian Empires of the West. By the time we got to the situation, some of them had already left to launch a similar operation in Old Zealand, the ones that remained were soon banjected and Xukong was resorted as WAD. Although the lasting effects of this action were minimal (if not none at all), we are still looking for further information about this incident and anyone with any relevant information (no matter how small) is encouraged to telegram our Founder and Imperator, Dominant Oppressors with said details, thank you.

RP: Region At War!:
The region is in a state of war with the nation of Langrenstan! In the most recent development, Langrenstan attempted to obliterate the capital cities of both Xukong and Dominant Oppressors via a nuclear-satellite in low-Earth orbit. Luckily the hackers of the U.C.E.O.T.W. managed to trigger a remote self-destruct on the satellite before it fired its 'superweapon'. Now, with the Langrenstani forces discombobulated the Xunkonger and Dominant Oppressorian armies are enacting a counter-push into Langrenstani territory. Victory appears imminent and the Allies are beginning plans for how to deal with Langrenstan in the post-war world.

Recently, at the encouragement of Ladymorrighan of the New Reich of Bunicken, our region has launched our very own Discord server! Hail the Triumvirate!:

The results of the most recent elections are in! Xukong has been officially re-elected as World Assembly Delegate but decided to step down as Imperial Grand Councillor shortly before the election-period. This left the way open for our Imperial Councillor of Religion and History, New jewlan to be elected as Imperial Grand Councillor, thus setting up the new Triumvirate. This event also led the way for another prominent candidate, Cellaronia, to be appointed as our new Imperial Councillor of Internal Affairs and a Count of the Region. He is the first to hold this position officially since the resignation of Blue carnation, although Dominant Oppressors had been serving the role's functions in an unofficial capacity until a right candidate could be selected.

Evangelizing the Stars:

Following efforts by members of the United Christian Empires of the West to terraform and colonise Mars, led primarily by a branch of Xukong, known as Pandomica (with significant contributions by members of the Dominant Oppressorian Space Force / Colonisation Units). The united space force became known as the United Christian Empires of the Galaxy. Now, terraforming is near completion and it is time to look at dividing the planet between our member-states. The Holy Emperor of Dominant Oppressors, Adam J. Vader (who also presently holds the title of 'Tsar of Xukong'), then personally drew up the divisions of the land. He then ran it by Viceroy Sheyn Romany of Xukong and following his input and agreement, summoned a Congress to be attended by the leaders of every member nation of the United Christian Empires of the West to show them the divisions. The Congress was held in the capital city of Xukong, Lunar Lake City. Terraforming has since been completed and the borders discussed at the congress have been realized.

Raiders of the Lost Ark:

New regional laws have been enacted to prevent hostile acts of raiding being performed by our member-nations and any raid of any calibre must be approved by the Regional Triumvirate beforehand for ti to be a legal action. In addition to this, one of our protectorate-regions, the United Christian Empires of the North has been converted into a refuge for displaced nations as an alternative to The Rejected Realms. More information can be found here. These reforms were proposed by WAD Xukong following several embassy-regions falling victim to raider-forces.

A Tsar is Born!:

Following the untimely death of Prime Minister Sophia Kennedy of Xukong, the Xukonger people cried out for a return to the old absolute monarchy system of days past. However, they had no heirs of the previous royal line to fill the position. So, they turned to long-time ally of their nation, Holy Emperor Adam J. Vader of Dominant Oppressors, who had previously served as a figure-head constitutional monarch for Xukong and offered him the Xukonger Crown. The Holy Emperor accepted the offer and was crowned 'Tsar of Xukong' shortly afterwards by Cardinal-Archbishop C. of The VRCC Bishopric of CrimsonScribbles. A transcript of the coronation can be found here. To aid him in governance, a native Xukonger was appointed as Viceroy of Xukong, a man named Sheyn Romany.

The Church and the Federation:

Our region also joined two alliances as of late. The first was with the Virtual Roman Catholic Church for RP purposes and prayer posting, CrimsonScribbles serves as our regional Bishop for them and so far their services have proven to be very valuable and we are grateful to have partnered with them. In addition to this, we have joined The New United Federation of Planets as a member-region. Dominant Oppressors is serving as our representative on the Federation Council and both he and New jewlan are serving as Supreme Court Judges for them, with talks regarding Xukong's appointment also at play. We are also in process of joining a third agreement as a member-region but more details on that will be released soon.

A Royal Engagement:

It has been revealed to us in an exclusive interview that Viceroy Sheyn Romany of Xukong and Holy Princess Sarah J. Vader of The Holy Christian Dominion of Glorious Ascension, second cousin and Goddaughter of Holy Emperor Adam J. Vader of The Holy Christian Empire of Dominant Oppressors, are engaged to be married. It has been found by our reporters that they have much in common including a shared birth-date and them both being orphans (for different reasons however) as well as other factors we are sure they share! It has also been announced that Holy Princess Sarah wishes still for the regency of Glorious Ascension by Holy Emperor Adam J. Vader to continue for the foreseeable future. Adam J. Vader will also remain Tsar of Xukong until his passing, however the line of succession will be altered to favor any offspring of this upcoming marriage as the next Tsar or Tsarina of Xukong. Sheyn Romany will also continue to serve as Viceroy for the time being, with his relationship with the Tsar only being strengthened by the marriage. It has also been speculated that the marriage could produce a new cadet-house of House Vader if the couple have more than one child, with one needing to be of House Vader proper to be heir, according to Glorious Ascensionist and Dominant Oppressorian Law. More details about the upcoming wedding will be released shortly.

A Packed Summer:

Several regional events are planned for this summer. These include most prominently the 1 Year Anniversary of the Region on Thursday August 6th, a special event for Xukong on Thursday 16th July and the 1 Year Anniversaries of Dominant Oppressors and New jewlan on Friday 31st July and Sunday August 2nd respectively. All of these events will be accompanied by celebrations on the RMB and on our Discord. We would be happy to see you all there! More information to come as we approach these special days!

Dominant Oppressors and Carnation join the UFE
Both countries have joined as autonomous states sending generals to the council. They now are sworn to protect the Empire with military force they are allowed to request troops and command those under there control. The Prince has stated he may want to expand the roles of the council and what autonomous states mean. Currently it is only military but expansion may be in the future with the marshal headed to Carnations this may be the first talks of what it means to be part of the UFE. The addition of these nations shall prove great for the UFE and we hope that the people from there show gratitude to their fellow Imperial Falmardics.

Controversial statement by Carnation Politician
On Sunday the 15th a story from Carnation made headlines creating a diplomatic disaster. The speaker of parliament called the Emperor a scum and pig. The Princess having to defend her family's honor in her own country proves the chaos that's called democracy. Shortly after Falmards comes back stating they shall arrest and execute the speaker and that a fleet of warships would be on the way to blockade the rabble. With the immediate excommunication of the speaker and armed forces being scrambled to kidnap this traitor he hoped she would back down. He sent a nuclear armed sub in case the local rabble gets out of control.
The Traitor thinks she won and forces the Queen to abdicate. With a new Queen that she can easily push around she starts a nationalist rabble and takes control. They find the traitor sitting on a throne which in Falmards would be punished by death normally a gladiator fight but some Glatnaus have their own methods. One Glatnau the White Knight states that if it was necessary for her to die by the swine a method used since the crusades when they were fighting muslims, and they were forbidden to touch pig they would often kill them with swine milk.
Afterwards the Queen pleads to the mighty Emperor to surrender to the rabble. The Emperor instead delays all plans of kidnapping the traitor. The New Queen gave a traitor a second chance a big mistake if her father wasn't backing her. The Emperor of the Dominant Oppressors also states it may back the glorious empire. Carnation cannot expect to use the powerful military of the UFE if it won't even protect itself or help the UFE. Either way the Emperor has put it under his protection until further notice.

General Council Meeting
While we don't know much the Generals will be meeting formally in Lauch. The Prince will represent the UFE as a whole and all other Generals are joining in the first formal meeting. Formal meetings are very rare the last on in 1940-44 spanning all 4 years they worked to decide what to do about World War II and while they never got involved they did discuss what to do from that whole time. This meeting should last no more than a week or so and will discuss a multitude of things. The specifics not specified we do know the main thing is to address the new states as they are the first states that isn't a Grand Duchy. Other things will be about the split and what to do about the rabble and traitor in Carnations. While the Emperor technically has absolute power of the council he has delegated this power so that the new nations stay. If he doesn't like something he has given the Prince power to just refuse it. It shall start as soon as the Marshall comes home.

Falmards to be WA representative
The Polls lead with Falmards on top to become in charge of WA. Boylay’s capital exploding as news that the WA seat for the United Christian Empires of the West may be coming there. They have decided to host a parade in there capital inviting all Leaders to join as they will celebrate the new power. This will be attended by the Emperor and the whole Family including the first public appearance of the young Princes. Princess Mary has announced she has a big announcement for the public this day. The date is yet to be set but it will have to be until after the Council meeting.

Prince Fred II has announced that Dominant Opressors is no longer a member of the UFE as it has been expelled. While no reason has been officially announced Princess Mary states that it is due to the power grabbing nature of them. She also states that Falmards will no longer support the Imperator. He would like it to be noted that the constitution was not signed by him but his Father the Holy Emperor. He is looking for more ways to cut ties with the imperator. He officially announced that his son Prince Joseph will not be titled within Falmards and that his wife Princess Padme will not be Empress of Falmards unless they both give up all titles in dominant oppressors.

Social Season
Social Season has been delayed until the end of the mourning for this recent event. It usually lasts between December 1st to January 14th but it is going to be December 4th to january 14th. Royal/Imperial families from all nations are invited as well as the Lords/Ladys of the principalities of the UFE. It will be kicked off with the regular balls. The biggest balls are the Opening Ball now on the 4th in lauch Palace. The Imperial Ball on the 14th in Engengenberg Palace. The Snow Opera and Ball on the 20-21st in Lauch Opera House and Lauch Palace. The Ball of the Eve on the 24th in Ebron Castle. New Years Ball on December 31st in Ottesbach. And lastly the End of the Season Ball in Weisengen on January 14th. Other smaller balls may be hosted around the travel so please be aware of invites.

As you all know, following the untimely deaths of my mother and father in 2005 and 2006 respectively, our dominion was left without a ruler due to my youth and the regency was bestowed to Holy Emperor Adam J. Vader of Dominant Oppressors, who although is biologically my second cousin, is more like a loving uncle and father-figure to me. As you are all well aware, he has done an exceptional job of ruling the nation while I come of age. As I am fast approaching the age where I may claim my throne, 20 years of age, with my Birthday in December, I have come to a decision. I have found that I have much of the world yet to learn and I find that I am not yet ready to rule, so, as is my right by my birth nearly 20 years ago, I hereby proclaim that the regency of his Royal Imperial majesty, Adam J. Vader, is to be maintained until I find myself ready to rule.

• 1. Why did you decide to make the Environmental Protection Council?

• 1. I decided that I wanted to make the Environmental Protection Council because I truly care and worry for the future of our planet. This is our only home and we have to do everything we can to protect it. Politicians and leaders around the world aren't doing enough to stop climate change. We caused the problem, but we aren't fixing it.
  There has to be someone that steps up and commits to making a change. Children around the world truly do care for the environment, but because they are kids, the adults and parents aren't taking them seriously. We need to change that.
  I want to do my part in saving the world. Climate change isn't just a problem that will go away sooner or later. It is an immediate threat to all of us and we know it, but no one is taking action. On NationStates, there is no proper region that is dedicated to serving the planet and climate change and so I thought that in order to stop climate change and potentially reverse it as well, awareness has to be done. NationStates is a great platform to spreads the word about climate change as then people can make their nation eco-friendly and apply it to the real world.

• 2. How do you feel about spreading awareness of things, like Climate Change, and reaching others by it?

• 2. I feel very good when I spread awareness and when it reaches other people. I also love it when people debate or talk and discuss the issue or whatever I posted. You don't need to be an environmentalist in order to stop the world. You just have to be a normal citizen of earth and do your part. People say that "Oh don't worry, if climate change happens then we can just move to mars as we are researching about it", but NO! Does everyone know how long it took for people to go into space? There will never be enough time to move to mars as it would take way too long to do. And plus, the earth is our home. We are all citizens of the earth first, and secondly, we are citizens of countries.

• 3. What are your plans for the future?

• 3. My plans for the future are to continue my pledge to spread awareness by websites and videos as well as getting more regions as embassies. But, I do not want regions to have embassies with me, but never even look at my posts or talk or care about the region because then it is useless to have embassies with them if they aren't even getting the knowledge and sinking my awareness into their brains. My goal is to have debated as well on the regions rmb about environmental issues and problems as well as brainstorm about how we can make the world be saved from climate change. Environmental Protection Council is not my region, but it is a community region and so I want to make it as friendly as possible!

• 4. How do you plan to maintain or even improve relations with other regions?

• 4. I have told regions to bring in an ambassador to the region and my rmb is open for everyone and so people can discuss and if they have any questions then I am right here and ready to answer them happily! I plan on writing on their rmb's and getting region-wide programs going such as contests and learning classes. In fact, I am doing a contest right now where embassy regions are competing for who can come up with the best website on addressing climate change. I will be the judge of it and I will choose two random nations from our embassy regions to judge it with me. I believe that relations with regions are the most important to reaching success in whatever you are doing, whether it may be running a region, running an alliance or an awareness program like me.

I started getting a keen interest in climate change and supporting it when a young 12-year-old girl who is widely famous for here EU Parliament speech and her environmental values and thinking, activist Greta Thunberg. Many of you guys have probably heard about her and I believe that the EU Green Party won so many votes recently because of Greta Thunberg alone! She has been campaigning on saving our planet and it got me an inner rush and human citizenship responsibility and so now I am an activist and have awareness programs on NationStates as well, because I have a nation that I use to play NationStates on and so, I know that NS is the best platform to address these important issues.

• 6. What is your view on current goings-on in the world of Climate Change (feel free to name a few events)?

• 6. This is probably my favorite question of them all and I have a lot to say about this, but I will try and keep it short. I believe that our world is changing fast, but our mindsets aren't. We are building homes and buildings, but aren't thinking about other minor details that end up polluting our planet such as when someone builds a 230 housing complex, they don't really think about how this many more people will affect the sewage or water system. Today, there are so many sewers that just run into the water untreated. This contaminates our limited water supply and endangers only towards the end as we will drink that water. The current and controversial Amazon fire problem in Brazil is probably the most recent environmental event and it is still running even today! I believe that the Brazil government is not doing enough. In fact, they are doing very little to protect the world's largest rainforest that is thriving with plants and animals. The Brazilian government in the first place should have put forth strict rules about foresting in the rainforest and protected it by having a national conservation site there as well as park rangers and more funding to stop it from shrinking. The forest fires have mainly been caused by deforestation and human causes. And then, when other countries such as Britain, Canada, and France offered much-needed help, they denied their request even though, the Amazon is now, not really Brazil's problem but all of the earth's as our oxygen supply and millions of species are at high risk of extinction. I think that even first world countries such as Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, and France aren't doing enough because they all still use coal and aren't that serious about it as no real action has been seen by the countries despite their goals. Canada, a nation that is known for its natural beauty filled with lakes and mountains is experiencing some of the worst climate change problems. Despite them announcing a climate emergency, they have a goal that by 2050 (which by the way is a long time away!), they want to eliminate 30% of carbon emissions which by that time, it is nothing. They should o 60-70% by then. Then, they also support oil industries and pipelines which cause more carbon dioxide. There are many things that are bad in the world, but people have gotten the message and green energy is slowly making a breakthrough.

• 1. Why did you decide to make the Gay Equality?

• 1. There are other gay regions, especially Gay (221 nations), but we wanted a smaller grouping to discuss the right to equal marriage.

• 2. How do you feel about spreading awareness of things, like Gay Equality, and reaching others by it?

• 2. We have discussed problems of misogyny, racism and homophobia, but our region has become more social than political. We have to deal with trolls, yes, but most people treat us as just another region, and we're happy with that. We have lots of embassies and we stay in close touch with a few.

• 3. What are your plans for the future?

• 3. This will depend on the membership. We are very much in chill mode. Occasionally someone gets alarmed about the situation for gay people in Uganda, or even Alabama, and it's good to be reminded that in many parts of the world things are still dire.

• 4. How do you plan to maintain or even improve relations with other regions?

• 4. One of the best ways is to have a crossover membership. As a result we have close links to The Maritimes, which is not an LGBT region, and Nudist Dreamland, which in the majority probably is. But our embassy liaison person has made every effort to have good relations with regions that are very different to us and that has paid dividends.

• 5. When did you start supporting Gay Equality, and why?

• 5.The political position? I'm a gay man, so I've supported it from the beginning. Being gay (LGBT) isn't just about sex, it's primarily about love, being able to fall in love, form a relationship and have that relationship given social recognition and legal protection. The region called Gay Equality? It was founded by a young man from Manchester who within a few weeks of establishing the region felt he could not continue and gave the password of the founding nation to me. One day, if I can't give our region proper attention, I will do the same.

• 6. What is your view on current goings-on in the world of Gay Equality (feel free to name a few events)?

• 6. In Europe, Canada, parts of the United Stares, Mexico City, Taiwan and other places, everything is going in the right direction. I live in Spain, arguably the most gay-friendly country on the planet. But in nations where fundamentalist religions hold sway, the situation can be dangerous for LGBT people, and seriously oppressive for women. Dog-whistle racism and anti-immigrant sentiment is being approved at the highest level in the United States, Brexitland, Italy, Brazil and other countries.

Details: Design a poster (basically propaganda) promoting the United Christian Empires of the West (mainly recruitment but may serve another purpose), put it in a dispatch, include a brief description of what you did/why (optional) as well as the work itself, mention ‘Dominant Oppressors’ in the dispatch at the very end of it, a winner will be chosen after the closing date by the judge from Category 1 and Category 2.

Prizes: All entries may be used for promoting the region (emphasis will be given to the winning entries), 1st place winner each receive one epic trading card (random) and a regional medal (digital, in our dispatch on them) (category 1 winner is first class medal and category 2 winner is third class medal [due to medal-awarding rules]), second place gets one ultra-rare trading card each (random) and a similar medal to first place but only second class for cat. 1 and third for cat. 2) and third place get a rare trading card each (random) as well as a regional medal (like the others) of third medal class.

The Governments of the New Reich of Bunicken and the United Christian Empires of the West have collaborated to organize a new event, an Inter-regional Bible Study!

All are invited!

The event will be held on Sunday 10th May 2020 at 2pm EST (list of timezone conversions later on). The event will be held in the New Reich of Bunicken's RMB.

We will be studying chapters 5 to 10 of Isiah and using the New International Version, a link to a free online copy can be found here.
