Foreign Affairs are headed up by the Tanna of Foreign Affairs, who is appointed to the position by the Sovereigns of Gaia. The Tanna of Foreign Affairs is tasked with facilitating our relations with other regions. This includes processing embassy applications, deploying diplomats to represent Gaia, and discussion of treaties or alliances.

At this time the position is being filled by Arudis. Residents who are interested in possibly taking this position should apply on our discord server via the "Apply for leadership" button in the information channels.

Regions may request an embassy in one of two ways. Contact Arudis via telegram or join our regional discord send a DM to discopolaris stating your nation name, region, and why you wish to pursue an embassy with us. You may find a link to our discord in the banner at the top of this dispatch.

Embassies must meet the following requirements:

• We do not accept embassies with embassy collector regions. No exceptions.

• Your region must have 40 nations. (Puppet flooding doesn't count!) Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Teyrn of Foreign Affairs and/or the Sovereigns.

• Your region must not support extremist views, especially if they are violent.

Though embassies will only be approved if they meet the criteria set forth, meeting these requirements is not a guarantee of embassy, only a qualifier. Embassies are a sign of friendship, and not of alliance, nor of obligation.

The Grace of Gaia does not actively support regions aligned with defending or raiding, and takes a neutral stance on the matter. However this does not disqualify the aforementioned regions from holding an embassy with us.
