The Republic of Seomis!

The Galactic Republic of Seomis was created in the continent of Androgeros under the aegis of the house of Seomis. However, at the beginning of the XXX century the colonizers of this continent of Andarios came from lands as diverse as Japan, China, Mongolia, Australia, the Philippines, North America and a small percentage of Europe. The new communities sought to live in harmony and gradually organized themselves into small political communities. With the growth of these co-units, some states were created in the middle of the century. Notoriously the Kingdom of Nephiria, the Republic of Occam, the Principality of Lukia, the Kingdom of Saruan, the Republic of Persis, the Kingdom of Umbrea and the Federation of Androgeros. These states were involved in several conflicts and at the close of the XXX century the only ones that remained were the Federation of Androgeros, the Kingdom of Umbrea and the Republic of Persis. By the middle of the XXXI century the three states were involved in a war which in 3088 ended with the victory of the Federation. In 3094 the citizens of Umbrea and Persis became citizens of the Federation and Androgeros finally obtained unity. The first leader of the United Federation of Androgeros (UFA) was Marshal John Washington who ruled with iron fist until his death in 3120. With his death disappeared the generation that had made the war of the unification and finally settled a democratic system, being created a Senate and several governmental positions. In 3129 Rudra Khalavi lost the elections to Kim Moon. President Moon sought to accelerate democratization, withdraw powers from the military and create a social state, but these reforms were seen as too radical and eventually he was assassinated in 3133 in a military coup against the government. He was succeeded by the conservative Aritomo Kenshin who did little and was eventually replaced by General Alfred Bull in 3140. Bull became involved in the civil war of Simeonia supporting the faction of Seomis Castus. But this involvement brought him the displeasure of the people and in 3148 lost the election to his Vice President Arnold Marcus. Marcus withdrew the Federation from the conflict, but in 3150 he received Prince Seomis with open arms. In 3152 contrary to the will of the Senate he chose the prince as its vice president. In 3154 Marcus suffered a cardiovascular accident and eventually perished. Seomis Castus became the new president. His good management of state affairs, reform programs, and his high charisma and popularity led him to be declared President for life in 3160. After his death the leaders of the Federation named the country as Seomis in his honor. His descendants still rule in Seomis and collateral branches of the family rule the Meriotic Empire and Simeonia.

John Washington 3088-3120; Rudra Khalavi 3120-3129; Kim Moon 3129-3133; Aritomo Kenshin 3133-3140; Alfred Bull 3140-3148; Arnold Marcus 3148-3154; Seomis Castus 3154-3160 and President for Life 3160-3170.

At this stage the Federation was characterized by the existence of a Senate with governmental powers, by the existence of several elective positions as president and prime minister, by the existence of a Constitution. In 3160 the post of prime minister will be extinguished.

Presidents for Life of the United Federation of Seomis (UFS)

Seomis II 3170-3180 (died in 3190); Castus I 3180-3197 (died in 3204); Castus II 3197-3230 (died in 3240); Traianus I 3230-3247 (died in 3257); Traianus II 3247-3260 (died in 3269) and Traianus III 3260-3287 (died in 3298).

At this stage the Federation was characterized by the existence of a Senate still acting as a government force in the Federation, although the ministers are chosen by the presidents, but are excruted in the Senate and judged by their actions if they damage the state. Presidents after several years of government withdraw from political life. In 3286 Traianus III abolished the name of Federation.

Castus III 3287-3300 (died in 3320); Seomis III 3300-3327 (died in 3345); Seomis IV 3327-3348 (died in 3364); Ulpius 3348-3360 (died in 3377); Valerius I 3360-3387 (died in 3389) and Valerius II 3387-3400 (died in 3408).

At this stage the Senate continues to lose powers and ends up becoming a great council that helps the leader in the government making suggestions, but their opinions and opinions no longer have the force of law. The united term is abolished during the government of Seomis III getting the Republic to be known like Republic of Seomis. From the government of Seomis IV the leader happens to be treated like Prince of the Republic. However the leaders continue to withdraw after a few years of government.

Supreme Leaders of the Galactic Republic of Seomis (GRS)

Flavius Castus 3400-3432 (died in 3435); Artorius I 3432-3450; Artorius II 3450-3477; Flavius Artorius 3477-3490 and Artorius Castus 3490-3520.

Flavius is the last of the family to retire, his son will rule until his death. The Senate disappears and the leader comes to make all the decisions together with his private council. In 3452 the Constitution is abolished.

Perpetual Consuls of the Galactic Republic of Seomis

Seomis Castus 3520-3547; Seomis Artorius Castus 3547-3570. From now on only as President of Seomis after the break away of the Imperial Galactic Republic of Andarios. Seomis Artorius Castus 3570-3588. Seomis Castus, son of the former becomes Perpetual Consul of the Republic 3588-3619; Seomis II Belicosus 3619-3621. Emperor: Seomis II Belicosus 3621-3632.

Seomis Castus, wanted to stay in history, as his ancestor, so he ordered the creation of a National Assembly, authorized free elections and created a ministerial cabinet responsible for day-to-day management. His son, restored the post of elected prime minister by the members of the National Assembly, called for elections and ordered the drafting of a new constitution.
In 3621 Seomis II abolished the office of Perpetual Consul and took the throne name of Seomis II. In 3632 Seomis II died due to a unforseen accident. A rebellion broke out, and after after 4 years of gruesome civil war, ending in 3635, the imperial familly was decimated. So, the nobles, decided to appoint a new consul among them. It was also stablished, by the Noble Assembly, that the consul will still rule for life, but is son was forbidden to took over, after the death of the former consul and a new election should be held.
