The People's Republic of Yakutskaya is a huge, orderly nation, remarkable for its closed borders, complete lack of prisons, and sprawling nuclear power plants. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 809 million Yakutskayans are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Yakutsk. The average income tax rate is 80.2%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The very strong Yakutskayan economy, worth 78.3 trillion Yakutskayan Rubles a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, quite specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, Uranium Mining, and Cheese Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 96,745 Yakutskayan Rubles, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The nation's soldiers are considered the best-dressed in The Communist Bloc, blind dates tend to result in bruised shins, every citizen sounds like a television news anchor, and worrywarts have started advocating for a paint ban. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Yakutskaya's national animal is the Yakutskayan Bear, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Yakutskaya is ranked 21,761st in the world and 442nd in The Communist Bloc for Most Advanced Public Education, scoring 6,786.56 on the Edu-tellignce® Test Score.
