A Superior Cooperative

Ours are a proud people, but our nests were limited.

Our Homeworld was overcome by a banal philosophy. One that demanded its followers surrender their emotions and desires in the name of "logic." Somehow, the desire to emulate computers became the pinnacle of morality.

We could not tolerate those answers, and so we left.

We wandered through space, past endless stars and not a few terrors, before we arrived upon our new home: Rihan.

There, we could rebuild. There, we could be strong!

The ships we used to create a new home were quickly obsolete. Hopelessly outmatched they were, even against simple threats like asteroids! A change was needed. Innovation, technology, these things were crucial for our very survival!

And so we built a great civilization, and our first task was to find our old kin, to prove to them that ours was the superior way!

Little did we realize, our kin had indeed chosen a lesser, if unfortunate path.

While they were still alive, their existence was that of slaves. They were forced to bow before an alien power, one that called itself the "Empire of Terra." Mighty, their fleets were. Our best efforts to free our kin failed, and our foes laughed as they butchered our liberators.

But we would not be denied!

Curiously enough, the physiology of our foes was not so different from our own. And so we attempted to hide among them, to learn their ways.

This... Had limited success...

But from our attempts, we learned something extremely valuable: This 'Empire' had a tenative hold on even their own species, let alone those they enslaved. With this information, we could resist.

A number of Imperial ships attempted to flee Terran space. We gave them solace.

There were those who objected to "mongrelization," to "diluting that which made us Rihan." They have been silenced, for we have rejoined our old kin. Both Homeworlds are under one banner, and even a number of Human worlds stand with us.

Perhaps one would laugh at our dilution, at the fact that, with many species and gene lines under our banner, we have combined our strength... And that strength has borne fruit.

The Homeworld has been retaken. The Terran Empire scattered before us, but all is not well.

They remain the dominant power among the stars, and until Earth falls they will continue to terrorize all they touch.

This is why we fight, why we stand together.

Yes, Rihan ships boast many lines, yet perhaps composite steel bites the hardest. Scientists from our various races have developed various technologies and tactics, all under one banner.

We have long ago proven to our kin that ours is the greater way. Now they are free! The Terran Emperor is mighty, but he will not bar our path!
