This code is written with [pre][pre]
at either end so that the code appears as it is (one pre at beginning and one pre at end).
-
For images, use , and I recommend using Imgur to upload images. When on Imgur and you want to insert an image here, select an uploaded image and COPY THE DIRECT LINK (i.e. the link that has the .file at the end), e.g. https://i.imgur.com/ag4Yow9.png
Note you will also see other links (such as markdown link or image link, do not use these, only use DIRECT LINK)
-
For images of flags, use 125x63px (1:2 ratio), for emblems use 90x90px and for other images use 250x250px or 250x205px depending on the image. Of course, you can use whatever size you like, but these are the most common ones as seen on Wikipedia articles about nations. When resizing images you should resize the image on your machine first and then upload to Imgur and then insert direct link here.

You can play it either way. NationStates does have humorous bent, but that's just because politics is naturally funny.
First create a nation. From there, it depends. Most nations concentrate on developing their laws and ideology by answering Issues, which pop up several times a day. Others prefer to engage on the international scene by winning a position of power in Regions, crafting international law in the World Assembly, or discussing various matters in the Forums. You can explore or ignore different areas of the world as you choose.
First before we start, let's me thanks to the creator of game, Max Berry! Without him this funny game will not exist. Try to read a novel "Jennifer Goverment". I think you will enjoy! The novel was titled Logoland for the German and Italian editions. The Brazilian edition was titled EU S/A, translated as Me, Inc., but can be seen as an abbreviation of Estados Unidos Sociedade Anônima, which roughly translates to United States, Inc. in English. Altrought Max Barry is your first fan! Ok, let's back on game.
