Nation in the Void (WIP)

Since the founding of the nation the citizens of New Gehenna have weathered through many trials. From small random cults rising throughout the country to the yearly zombie apocaplypse that must be dealt with in order to resume normal life. Then again, New Gehenna wasn't meant to have a normal mundane life. For starters, thanks to advancement in technology we were allow to bring dinosaurs back from extinction along with many other prehistoric creatures. Hell a good chunk of our citizens of the nation were advance AI with a sentience affording them the same rights as any other citizen with flesh and blood. Despite all this, however, the one thing most bizarre about this nation, and one now being questioned by the common man, was where we were.

At first historians believed we settle a continent within the region only known as the East Pacific with various other nations. However after reviewing many of the maps since our fledgling days we have now come to new startling revelation. For at least the first five years the maps have been inconsistent with each other. Some nations have been shown to have regular shifts with their borders and on the continent. Even the name of the continent itself has changed from time to time. This bothered many who took great pride in documenting our nation's history who soon sought for answers as to why our maps didn't align. Soon however our search for answers breed more questions. As far as the common citizen knows our settlement of the country happen around 150,000 years ago along the eastern shores of the continent as early hunter-gatherers. But even our origins have been plagued with inconsisties. For starters, one retelling showed our people encountering our national animal, the Spinosaurus, on the continent we would call home. However another retelling showed the Spinosaurus being introduce to the region along with us. It was all so confusing, and the yearly zombie apocaplypse wasn't helping matters.
