The Disputed Territories of Jingcha is a very large, safe nation, renowned for its compulsory military service and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 162 million Jingchans are free to succeed or fail in life on their own merits; the successful tend to enjoy an opulent (but moralistic) lifestyle, while the failures can be seen crowding out most jails.

The relatively small, moralistic, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Spirituality. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 9.6%.

The very strong Jingchan economy, worth 10.5 trillion yuan a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Beef-Based Agriculture, Uranium Mining, and Trout Farming. Average income is 65,025 yuan, but there is a large disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 264,854 per year while the poor average 10,595, a ratio of 25.0 to 1.

Citizens rise at daybreak every day for mandatory exercise, Jack Russells have proven to be terrible spies, organisations with 800 in their phone number are often raided by special forces, and the "war on terror" doesn't seem to be making Jingchans any less frightened. Crime, especially youth-related, is well under control, thanks to a capable police force. Jingcha's national animal is the ur mum hehe.

Jingcha is ranked 213,815th in the world and 99th in Coalition of Crown Albatross for Largest Welfare Programs, scoring -7.07 on the Safety Net Mesh Density Rating.
