Herrera Island
The Herrera Island is a Territory in Southeast Asia, located in the Philippine Sea, in which, the Island is Located 5,173.16 km from the Fatimanian Capital of Fatima City, 214.63 km from the City of Tuguergarao, the Capital of Cagayan Province, 282.07 km from the City of Laoag, the Capital of the Ilocos Norte Province, 193.18 km from the City of Basco, the Capital of the Batanes Province, and 543.98 km from the Philippine Capital of Manila. Herrera Island is Named after the Captain of the Spanish Army, Antonio Herrera-Fernandez, who Defended the Island from the Fatimanian Invaders before they Lost in the War of the Herrera Island.
Spanish Empire Occupied the Island as Part of the Captaincy General of the Philippines as Parumpada Island, but it has been Invaded by the Fatimanians during the Fatimanian Invasion of the Philippines in 1697 as Part of the Fatimanian Colonization Campaign to Colonize the Southeast Asia and to Compete with European Powers, in which, as Fatimania lost in the Invasion to Spain and only Got this Island, it has been Admitted to the Fatiman Empire in 1700. The Island has been Occupied by the Japanese and Filipinos from 1942 until 1945, when it has been Annexed by the Second Philippine Republic, but after the Japanese Surrendered, the Americans and Filipinos handed out the Island to the Fatimanians in October 22 1946 as Part of the Treaty of Manila, due to the Majority of the Fatimanian-Speaking Population alongside with the Filipino-Speaking Population there.
The Island's Economy has considered to be in the Medium Level than in other Fatimanian Colonies, as Mining, Cotton Production, Fruit Farming, Sugarcane Farming and Fishing was considered the Contributors to the Economy, but Widespread Corruption involving the Territorial Politicians, Previous Effects of the Spillover of Communist Rebellion of the Philippines that has ended in 2011, and Climate Change was the main cause of the Minor Collapse of the Island's Economy, as 20% of the Population are Below the Poverty Line, most of them are Filipino Migrants. Tourism was also the Minority Contributor to the Island's Economy, Considering the Territory as the Most Corrupt than the Fatimanian Mainland and it's Territories, but as of 2022, the Corruption Level has been Decreasing thanks to the Fatimanian Government's Efforts.
