History

Chamel is a city-state within Gong that was built fairly recently. With the rise of nautical vessels in Gong, many cities started to incorporate large docks and ports to allow for easier access to the seas. Because of this, Chamel is known by many as the "City of the Sea" as its boats and sailing practices are unparalleled. Because of the city's recent formation, it doesn't have landmarks or scars from the revolution within it, making it a very viable area for younger Gong people to settle. Unlike Utaka, Chamel is fairly small but due to its rising popularity, that could change very quickly. The buildings are described by many as refreshingly new, this is mostly due to the bright saturated paint that covers the roofs of many houses in the city. Utaka once had a similar color palette, but due to its age the colors have since faded.
Fashion and Architecture!

Jewlery is very common in Chamel, the overwhelming majority of which is made up of white quartz, amethyst, or sandstone which was given to Gong by GAI. The Jewelry can be necklaces, bracelets, earrings, or tiara like headbands. The buildings and houses are made up of limestone or white sandstone given to Gong by Coldian and GAI! The houses tend to be small and cozy with colorful roofs and white walls. Buildings tend to stack on top of one another, which differs to regular housing plans of most cities in Gong. Religious shrines are built to be large open garden-like areas that are filled with plants.
