The Protectorate of Duddas is a fledgling, safe nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. The hard-nosed population of 6 million Duddasians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. The average income tax rate is 27.1%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The Duddasian economy, worth 251 billion craels a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Trout Farming industry, with major contributions from Uranium Mining, Information Technology, and Tourism. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 41,883 craels, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.6 times as much as the poorest.

A large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway, vital intelligence-gathering activities are often put on hold for Call of Honor tournaments, scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, and requests for government aid can be forwarded to the beach. Crime, especially youth-related, is almost non-existent, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Duddas's national animal is the pigeon.

Duddas is ranked 127,153rd in the world and 203rd in Starlight for Most Advanced Defense Forces, scoring 1,824.9 on the Total War Preparedness Rating.
